Meet Mariah

This senior session is a little different from other senior sessions and it’s  good thing! That is what Mariah wanted.  She wanted some fun pictures that were far from the traditional cheerleader pose with 2010 letters spread in the foreground.  I unfortunately have those type of senior pictures. My portraits consisted of me leaning against an oak tree and smiling with my hands in my pockets. So traditional. So I’m always excited to have seniors that branch out a want something different!

We quickly walked the streets of Carytown and shot her session before the light faded away.  We had a ton of fun and Mariah definitely has some images are uniquely her! Enjoy!

Well friends, the 2009 Wedding schedule for Inspired designs finished 2 weeks ago, as well as portraits. I’m done….for a while! and I’m trying to get better at this “no work” thing. You know, I’m practicing not waking up and immediately responding to emails, having multiple days in a row that don’t include opening photoshop, and staying AWAY from post it notes! The to-do lists can start to attach themselves to you and you can’t get away, literally!

Meet Kelsey

This session is proof that you don’t have to have senior portraits done in the summer! December works just fine!  We managed to have really great light and had a fabulous time together in Downtown.  Kelsey is such a sweet girl who had a pretty rotten week and so hopefully getting to walk around and shoot some fun senior pics was a good break from her jam packed routine of school and cheerleading and yearbook…. the list goes on.  As we talked abut everything she loves and is involved in and how she never sleeps, It all started to sound EXTREMELY familiar.  I remember those days! It’s tough! You wake up at the crack of dawn and so to school, hoping everything is turned in on time and then have meetings and cheerleading practice until late. You then go home and start all over! It’s draining.  Kelsey explained that she’s ready to go to school and not have all the responsibility.  I laughed because I said the EXACT same thing when I left for college…. and welp….look at me now.  More responsilibility than ever. But I love it and she will too.  When you’re wired up that way you can’t help but be super involved in everything under the sun!

Kelsey, you’re going to do SO well at college! and you’ll love every second of it! Thanks for allowing me to capture your senior pics and to hear a little about your life! Enjoy!

a surprise makeover!

Everyone has their own high school decorating phase. Mine was hot pink and orange.  Maybe that’s why I have become totally obsessed with TEAL! Emy had a phase… a short lived phase where she wanted a room painted neon green and yellow! Yikes!! Her window GLOWED from the road.  Oh what  my parents go through for us!

I came home for Christmas Break and everything in Emy’s room had been pushed to the center and the walls had been primed! Momma told me that we were giving her a makeover for Emy’s Christmas surprise! Well, after daddy pulled two late nighters
