Oh Baby!

I have never done a maternity session before! Isn’t that crazy?! 2 years, never done a baby belly session.  It’s true, weddings are my first love. I get so so excited about wedding days. The dress, the shoes, the first look, the love, the portraits…. I love it all! However, I also LOVE getting to know my brides and forming relationships with them.  I met Tim and Emily over a year ago for their engagement session and I fell in love with them.  They were married last August at the Historic Kinloch and after spending the day with them and their families, I felt like part of the family! They were so welcoming and excited for their pictures!

When a bride…

…contacts me, I always ask about the wedding, their big plans, if they found a dress….etc.  It’s so much fun to get to know my clients! …. Especially the ones that share the same love for exclamation marks as I do! Annamarie’s email was FULL of exclamation marks and I knew from that very first email that we were going to be friends! Good friends! I loved her and I loved her story. Annamarie and Ryan have such a refreshing and rich friendship and that makes their relationship so genuine.  As soon as we started their session, they were laughing at each other….(photographer’s dream).  If it wasn’t 90 degrees with 90% humidity,

Sweet Em…

That’s the nickname that kept floating through the air on her wedding day. Em has dreamed about this day for so long.  Marrying the man of her dreams, being surrounded by her best friends and celebrating with her sweet family.  I remember late nights, sitting with Em on my bedroom floor in the Middle House, just talking about weddings, relationships, the future… everything that we were so uncertain about.  Seth and Em started dating at the same time that Michael left to go to North Carolina.  We were both experiencing long-distance relationships and the struggle that that brings. Some days we would laugh at how hard it was, some days we would sit on each others beds and cry…..
