Wedding Wednesday

  • Unlikely Accents

the wedding industry is so inspiring sometimes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting my issue of Southern Weddings and being inspired by awesome, new and unique ideas. One part of wedding planning that most brides don’t think about are the little things… like accents.  You may have a GREAT floral display in your head but if you have no accents and little details to go with it, you may find that the centerpiece is missing a little something! Illusions

  • Oh the things I talk myself into!

..that by age 22, I would realize that eating a glass full of Oat Squares (BEST CEREAL KNOWN TO MAN!) and drinking a full glass of milk is the same as eating a bowl of cereal!!!  The thing is, a BOWL of cereal sounds like a meal to me and so when I’m editing and I want something to munch on… I choose to eat cereal this way.  Why? Well, because I’ve convinced myself that if cereal isn’t in a bowl… it’s JUST a snack, not a meal and the calories are going to be much less! What an illusion!! I swear I can talk myself into anything!!! …. and I would believe it!

Whit + Sydni | Engaged

  • Richmond Wedding Photographer

… our location, that is.  Sydni and I had talked about shooting further up Grace street in downtown Richmond but as soon as I saw these old walls and buildings, I asked if we could shoot there instead. Whit and Sydni agreed and didn’t think twice (because they’re wonderful!).  I will admit that the location wasn’t the prettiest, or the cleanest, or really safest but it sure was COOL! I LOVED it! The dirty, grungy, urban feel makes for some pretty sweet portraits! Whit and Sydni were so great.  They trusted my judgment, even when it seemed weird and I must say that they were pretty darn good at the “model” face!
