Dubrovnik, Croatia

Honeymoon
croatia honeymoon

So this is

CROATIA! When Michael first told me that this was one of the destinations for our cruise I thought to myself “Where in the world is CROATIA?!”  Well, we have come to find out that Croatia is home to one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world! It’s gorgeous! We stopped in Dubrovnik, Croatia for an afternoon and to be honest, I was surprised! I have been excited about Venice and ATHENS (coming tomorrow!)… but Croatia hasn’t been on my list of “must sees”.  Well, now that I have had an official tour of Dubrovnik, Croatia, have walked its’ white stoned streets and have eaten more of it’s tasty gelati than I should have….

Venice, Italy

We’re on our

HONEYMOON!!! … our dream honeymoon.  When deciding on locations, Michael and I knew we didn’t want to go sit on a beach all day.  He would get bored and I would get BURNT.  Redheads and extended stays at the beach don’t mix well.  We cruised to Italy in high school for a leadership trip and LOVED it…. so we decided to go back! Michael planned EVERYTHING.  It has been so nice to just sit back and not worry about details. He is so good trip planning…so good that he pulled off a surprise.  We stayed one night in Venice before boarding our cruise ship.  This was supposed to be a cheap hotel, outside the city….

10.10.10 Thank You's

Daddy
daddy thank you

I love him.

I love my daddy.  So much.  He is the most selfless, considerate man I know and he probably hates that I’m announcing that so boldly to so many people because he’s also quite humble.  My whole entire family has been preparing for 10-10-10 but a lot of the huge tasks fell into Daddy’s lap…. and he never complained. Ever. You see, I decided that I wanted to get married at our home church where daddy has been the pastor since Michael and I were toddlers.  It just makes sense for us!  We love our home church and so when the ceremony location was decided, we also decided to have a tent reception in the field behind our home.
