This session

made me want to do a “Sister” session with MY sister! That is the worst part about being a photographer! Everyone else gets nice pictures of their families except you! (believe me, I hear that a lot from my mother!) We desperately need to do a family portrait… and officially include Michael this time! Anyway, Michael and I know the Wagner family through our new church and they are just one of the many families who have welcomed us into this new phase of our lives! It’s crazy that we have only been here a few months…. I feel like I have known these families so much longer and it’s wonderful.

I’ll never say

no to shooting teal things! Never! Especially after doing this fun little shoot with Janie and Holly. These two wonderful ladies are incredible artists and just really amazing people to spend time with. Their love for floral designs was so evident as they pieced together random arrangements made from some left over wedding centerpieces. I was completely amazed. It made me want to be a florist! They BEST part about their job is that they’re so passionate about it. When I

keep saying that all of these recent sessions were FREEZING… I’m not exaggerating! Not one bit! It’s been COLD in Virginia so far this winter and we have already had a good amount of snow (but I’m still hoping for MORE! I love snow!!!). So once the temperatures were dropping and the snow fell, Emily emailed me and asked if we should cancel because really, who takes their engagement pictures in 28 degree weather?! Sweet.

The whole house smelled “Sweet” for days after this party! My lovely sister came a stayed with us for several days and she helped me out BIG TIME on Friday! I couldn’t have gotten all of this done if I had tried! I’m NOT a baker….hence why I made the “No Bake” Mini Cheesecakes! So in the past, my family and I have hosted “Christmas in the Country” every year since I started college. ALL of our college friends would come back together in the middle of Christmas Break and have a party in the country!
This usually included riding four wheelers, eating a lot of food and playing multiple rounds of CatchPhrase.

I wonder

how much time I WASTE looking at my ginormous list of blogs that I check daily! It’s one of my favorite parts of the day…. checking my “List” of blogs. It’s great to get inspiration and ideas… but sometimes I admire all these other blogs and I get tired of my blog! I start looking at other amazing brands and I find myself getting bored with mine. (I’m the girl that would re-decorate a room EVERY season if Michael would let me!). I get bored VERY quickly and I LOVE LOVE LOVE branding and marketing so I can easily grow sick of my “look” and jealous of another’s style. I was just talking to my friend Korie Lynn Herold about this the other day!
