so so tired of hearing about our wedding. I understand… I’ve been talking about it for over a year and I can imagine that could get pretty old! … Well, I was going to show some Christmas decor ideas for Wedding Wednesday today (even though it has nothing to do with weddings!) but instead, once again, I chose to do a little post from 101010. I can’t help it, ok?! I think I’m just trying to relive that day over and over and I’m making all of you go through it with me! It’s hardly

worth mentioning. This is possibly the smallest feature in the WORLD! However, I’m not complaining. It’s always fun to see your work published somewhere, especially in a national magazine…. no matter how large or SMALL the feature is. Laurie’s beautiful bouquet was featured in Get Married magazine and I was thrilled! But the real praise should go to the wonderfully talented Holly Chapple. Holly is a florist in the DC area that has a heart of gold and the most amazing creativity imaginable. (She is also a mother of 7! Wonder woman!) A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of shooting some tablescapes with Holly and Janie from The Brides Cafe.

When Michael

first found out that he got the job at Gayton we were both THRILLED. Absolutely thrilled. We were excited to fall in love with the kids and to get to know their awesome families…we were ready to be a part of a church family again (since we never really found one in college) and I was so excited about the MUSIC! Oh my gosh. The Lord has completely and TOTALLY blessed Gayton with incredible musicians! It’s really unbelievable how much talent is in this body of believers. Crazy! I was blown away our first Sunday when we visited (services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11… hint hint all of your Richmonders that need a Church home! We’re waiting for you!:). The worship and the music was amazing and I loved it. The musicians here

As I walked into the church, snow flurries were falling from the sky…. what a perfect way to start the night! JAZZ NATIVITY happened tonight and do not fear! If you missed it, you can come TOMORROW! Tickets are still on sale and let me tellll you! …. it will be the best $5 you spend all season! I’m talking better than any stocking stuffer, any movie ticket, and any hot Starbucks drink! It’s that awesome. (Ps. If you find a movie ticket for $5, let me know!) However, if you come and are craving a cup of Starbucks, they are sponsoring the event and are selling coffee and sweet treats throughout the whole event! Jazz Nativity is a Jazz concert in a coffee house type setting at Gayton Baptist Church (our church!!).

He is a DO-ER.

I’m not sure if that is the correct way to spell that made-up word or not… but that is what he is. Michael, my husband, is not one to sit around passively and do nothing around the house. Now I will say that he can take naps…..long naps, anytime of day and I don’t think he will ever out grow that. However, besides his naptime, he is normally getting something done around the house… especially in the kitchen. A lot of women have asked me.. “have you cooked a lot?!”… and my answer has to be “well, no, not really…. Michael likes to cook”. And this is true. I HELP him cook but I have really only made ONE dinner totally by myself and I had to tell him to leave me
