Once again

something else has taken over Wedding Wednesday!  I was going to post something for WW but I just couldn’t wait to announce the “Sugar Shoot Workshop”!!!!! This is an amazing opportunity for photographers that is coming up in MARCH!! I’m so excited I could dance right here in my office! (it doesn’t help that I’ve been nibbling on the candy and have a TON of sugar in my system! I’m a little high-strung today! ) So today I am officially announcing my sugary, sweet workshop that will be happening in exactly 2 months! I have the most incredible people helping me with this! I can’t thank THE SWEET SPOT enough for this

This is such

an honor! First, I photographed Frank and Charity’s beautiful country wedding. Then I photographed Naomi (Charity’s sister) and her husband Joe in Downtown Fredericksburg and now I have photographed their first little one and man is he a cutie! I walked into the house and it was so quiet and warm.  Little Jack was trying to fall asleep and I started looking for basket locations! I don’t shoot newborn sessions very often because most of my time is spent with engaged couples. However, this was a nice change of scenery. Photographing a newborn is a totally different ballgame but luckily, Naomi and Joe had just finished remodeling their home

This process

took a long time. Finding a workflow that actually WORKED for me wasn’t an overnight concept. I tried numerous different techniques and I learned a ton a long the way.  That’s why I encourage all of you photographers out there to try to find YOUR OWN organization style because this is one of the many areas in this industry where copying may not be in your best interest. Brides can book online, contracts are online, etc….. and I wanted that! I wanted it all!!! ha! So I purchased ShootQ and starting playing

Then before we knew it, we were introduced to Elizabeth! Elizabeth decided to come to CNU as well and I loved watching these two interact. The remind me so much of Emy and I. We’re so different and yet just enough alike to get on each others nerve…just a tad:).  I love these two and so when Anne Taylor emailed me about some family pictures I was like “umm, duh!”… of course I want to hangout with the

It can be

a big adjustment moving to a new town, into a new house, a new church and basically a new life! However, Michael and I have been blessed with incredible families that have welcomed us in and we have quickly come to LOVE where we are! We love the church, we love the teenagers and we love their families. The Parr family is one of those families! Michael quickly became attached to Brendan and I got to hangout with Carlyn when she was home from JMU this winter break… we love them! So when they asked about getting some Christmas card pictures done, I was so excited because EVERYONE talks about the
