During Christmas

break (I say that like I still have “Christmas Break”…. will I ever grow up?!) we were invited over to the Vath’s house for dinner. We love this family and always enjoy our time with them. We walked in and I immediately noticed the AMAZING winter tablescape Melissa had displayed in her dining room! Ohhhh sweet goodness. It was amazing…..so amazing that I made Michael run home to get my camera! (He’s the best:). The reason I want to share this on Wedding Wednesday is because it’s inspiring! Melissa had collected cute and classy Christmas decor every year when the After Christmas sales hit and everything is always 80% off.

I don’t normally

do a part 1 and part 2….. but I just can’t help it this time! I couldn’t pick my favorites and narrow them down so I’m going to be blogging Buddy and Jill 2 times this week! Yessssss. I’m so excited. You don’t understand how much I love these two! We went to college together at CNU. Michael and Jill graduated together and Buddy and I finished together last May. I remember seeing buddy and Jill starting to hangout. We would see them walking down Prince Drew Rd. together and all of my roommates would whisper “you think they’re going to date?!!!” We loved the idea of Buddy and Jill becoming a couple….

So what we

need to realize is that when I blogged JANUARY’s GOALS…. I only had 5 days to complete them before February snuck up on me! So! This month should be a more productive! In those five days I did manage to complete some of my list. My “Goals” are very different from my “To-Do’s” and this is important for me to remember. The “To-Do” list is a DAILY list that consists of things that MUST be done immediately… like emails, blogging, editing, laundry, dishes, making the bed, drink a mountain dew, hang out with my husband, meet with girls, etc. I don’t consider these things as “Goals”…. they are what make up my “Life”.

It’s hard to

believe that we have only known these amazing kids and chaperones for 5 months or so. That blows my mind. These kids have become our family and the parents have become our biggest cheerleaders and we’re so thankful…. so so thankful. Getting away for the weekend was absolutely amazing. Winter Retreat just happened to fall right after most kids had just finished a week of exams. It was great timing to get AWAY. Away from school, away from work, away from drama…. the list goes on. This past weekend was a chance for our youth group to just get away and be together. We took them to one of our favorite places… WATERMARKS. Watermarks is an amazing camp outside of Charlottesville
