I’m so excited

I can barely STAND it!!!!!! This has been a goal of mine for two years….yes, TWO YEARS. I remember talking to Jasmine and JD during our engagement session and the topic came up about having a promotional video. I knew I needed one…. but when Jasmine Star told me I needed one I was like “Ok….note to self…this is IMPORTANT! GET PROMO VIDEO ASAP”.  However, it wasn’t as simple as writing it on my to-do list. It took planning and I was still waiting to find the perfect person to help me with this huge project…… and I’m happy to say that I found him!  Ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you to my extremely

Changing it Up! | The Veil
diy bridal veils

This is a dilemma

that isn’t talked about very much but every bride has to make the “veil” decision! It’s a BIG deal and can really determine a bride’s overall “Look”! The fun part is that a bride can change it up if she wants! I wore two different veils on my wedding day and I LOVED it. I had a vintage (handmade) birdcage veil during our First Look and portraits.  Then we went to the church and I put on my longer veil to walk down the aisle. Happy Tuesday!

I am happy to announce that the blog is officially on it’s own server and so I’m PRAYING there will be no more glitches! Whew! I have NEVER been so tired of talking to IT support! I feel like that is all I’ve been doing for the past two days. HOWEVER! It was worth it and I have to give a shout-out to my friends at HostGator who put up will all of my stupid questions! Thank you all for your help and patience!!! I appreciate it!  (And because I’m a web dummy, I posted yesterday during the transfer so the comments from yesterdays post are gone for right now… but if you left one, I LOVE you for it!!)

25 Years

Happy Birthday Michael
25 years

He was a Junior

and I was just a little freshman. We were best friends but I knew he would never like me…. the freckled redhead that seemed like his little sister. I mean, that’s just gross right? Who “likes” the girl that seems like their little sister. Nobody. And so even though I liked Michael when I entered high school…. I knew that wasn’t going to happen.  I remember journaling that “If he just took me to prom… ya know, just as friends…. that would be enough”.  Michael was friends with a lot of girls in high school and even though I knew him better than ANY of them….. the thought of us “dating” seemed to be out of the question.

Buddy + Jill | Part II

The guests arrived

to the church and took their seats as the bagpipe player played outside. The weather was perfect and the golden light poured through the old stained glass windows at Hebron Presbyterian Church.  Jill and Buddy were about to make a huge promise to each other in front of the friends and family that loved them most. After the bridesmaids walked down the aisle, the doors closed and anticipation rose.  A few seconds later, the doors opened and Jill walked down the aisle, clutching her dad’s arm and trying to hold back the tears.  Weddings are beautiful.  Everyone loves them and we all know what to expect…. the vows, the rings, the kiss, etc.  However, I’m pretty sure I speak for most people when I
