This week has

been a hard one. Last week we lost one of youth in a tragic car accident. Although Michael and I didn’t know her really well, this sweet girl was friends with so many in our youth group and it’s so hard to watch them miss their friend. So because the blog reaches so many people, from so many places, please be praying for the Nease family as they try to adjust to life without their beautiful daughter, Amber. The service this morning was beautiful and I’m so thankful that she knew the Lord. There is no doubt in my mind that we will see her again one day.

I remember

sitting in V-Team meetings during my senior year at CNU and hearing Rachel talk about Caleb. Rachel and I served on the Vision Team for Intervarsity during our senior year and when you meet weekly with the same people over and over again, you can’t help but get really close to them. I think I learned more about Rachel in one year than I had in all 4 years of knowing her at college! We would meet on Tuesdays (I think, I don’t remember?! Ah! I’m getting old!) and we would start meetings by sharing about life. I would normally throw my hands up and announce that “I’m OVERWHELMED!! I can’t be in college and run a business and be engaged!!! I’m freaking out!!”. That seemed to be the theme

This is a mini

session and it’s not really for Cary…. Cary could care less about having pictures done. He’s almost a freshman in college, taking late senior pictures is the last thing on his mind….. these are for his sweet momma. The Wimbish family has been such a huge part of our new life here in Shortpump. They have made our transition so easy and we absolutely LOVE all three of their boys. The Wimbish brothers are amazing and Michael and I are both a little disappointed that Cary is going off to college in the fall. Luckily we still have several years left with Grayson and Hampton and if I know Cary….

As we waited

for the ceremony time to come, I ran around snapping pictures of the church, the shoes, the flowers, the girls… and as I went to take a few of the guys hanging out, I found them in the sanctuary. Drew was on the piano and Paul was playing his guitar. It’s crazy how one instance can remind you of so many things. Seeing these two passing the time by making random music together is the way I first met them. I feel like every time I went to visit Michael at CNU, these two were either acting absolutely ridiculous or they were playing guitar. A lot has changed since those days of long weekends at CNU and living on campus. We’re grown up and a lot of us are MARRIED now! Weird! It feels like life is flying by.

I am so excited

to show off this amazing family! Steph and Tyler have two beautiful little girls that may just be the happiest sisters in the world! Steph is my second cousin and we got to see them during our trip to Wisconsin for her brother Britt’s wedding! Every time I saw their girls, they were ALWAYS smiling. Always. This was my first time EVER meeting Chasey and Macki and our family fell in love with them! The Sunday before the 4th of July, we were at the lake with the rest of their family, watching fireworks and eating BBQ. We had some time that afternoon to do the fastest, most productive family session EVER.
