This may be

the quickest Wedding Wednesday post I have EVER posted in all of my blogging years! Yup! That is because I’m writing this post on Sunday night and it’s 1:25 am and I still have so much to do before vacation tomorrow! I’m pre-blogging because I want you all to have some pretties to look at while Michael and I are away at the Greenbrier… yes, the GREENBRIER. We’re so excited for our mini vacation!! So while we’re spending a few days not reading emails and not editing wedding images, enjoy this fun floral DIY shoot that I did with the fabulous Janie Medley a few weeks back! This is Laura

and let me just say this….Laura is one of the most photogenic seniors I’ve EVER shot. And I’m not just saying that. She’s beautiful and I can’t tell you how easy this session was for me. Modeling is just natural for her! Lord why didn’t I get that ability?!! Laura is one of our youth group girls and I even though I’m taking a break from work outside of weddings, I am still doing some senior portraits for the girls from church. Doing a session with a senior girl is so much fun for me. I just get to walk around a cool location and get to know these girls in a totally different way. It’s awesome. I absolutely loved my time with Laura in Carytown last week.

Whew! What a

week/weekend! Between the earthquake that shook all of virginia and most of the northern east coast and Hurricane Irene making her presence known this weekend, I think mother nature should be exhausted at this point! I mean really!! A lot has been happening over here on the east coast! I shot a wedding this past Friday and I can’t tell you how many times I said a little “Thank you JESUS this wasn’t a Saturday wedding” prayer! We got lucky, so lucky. Shooting a Friday wedding was a lot of fun because I felt like a normal human being and had the whole Saturday OFF! Can you believe it?! I didn’t WORK on a WEEKEND!!

While I was

in Charleston, I had the honor of shooting some head shots for the fabulous Sarah D’Attoma. Sarah is a photographer based in South Carolina and she randomly asked me several months ago if I was ever going to be in the south… like the South Carolina part of the south. Welp! It just so happened that I was planning a little trip for Ryan and Rebekah’s session and I was coming to Charleston! Perfect!! Sarah is wonderful. When I met her, she jumped out of the car with arms out, ready for a hug. (my kinda girl). Her energy is contagious and her smile is absolutely stunning.
