Molly emailed

me a few months ago and explained that she was a photographer in Harrisonburg, Virginia and that she had followed my work for a while. Then she explained that she had gotten married a few years ago and there were only a handful of pictures that she really LOVED! What?! AH!!! So she wanted to get back into her wedding attire and have a fun shoot with her husband! So that’s exactly what we did!!! Now that you’re excited about their “Day after” session (really more like “Years After” session:)……. I’m going to make you wait!! I’m so mean, I know. Today I’m posting their beautiful family

and I can’t believe it. It’s already August 5th and I can tell that this month is going to fly by just like the last few months have! Summer is busy… it’s REALLY busy around this house! We’re just trying to enjoy our little downtime that we have and make it to the fall! It will still be busy in the fall but at least it will be cooler!! Whew! It’s been SO hott and sticky here in VA! I should have made one of my August goals to “Save the little tree in the front yard”. We have this one little tree… it’s a cute tree… but it’s shriveling up and I’m afraid it’s on its’ last leg! …. or branch… whatever.

Several months

ago, I was planning to meet Kim and Patrick for the first time.  They thought it would be nice to meet at the Cheesecake Factory and of course, I thought that was an awesome idea! …. and evidently so did Michael… because he joined us! I love it when Michael joins me for sessions and meetings…. but it always seems to happen more often when there is food involved!! So we met this amazing couple over lunch one day and I just loved them. Kim is easiest girl to talk to and Patrick greets everyone with a hug and a smile. We talked about their Irish wedding and their family and how they met.  These two have known each other since they were kids but it wasn’t until they were older that they realized that maybe there was

I’ve said it a thousand

times. Weddings are overwhelming to plan! They just are. It’s easy to get frustrated and just not care about the little details. However, sometimes completing really simple tasks can be a GREAT way to motivate a bride! This project takes 3 minutes and it would add SO much to a centerpiece!! AND the best part is that if someone was to make these Doilie cups for their whole reception, it probably wouldn’t cost more than $15!!!! Crazy! So enjoy today’s SIMPLE DIY wedding project!
