Seth + Emily | Everyday

Richmond Va Maternity Shoot

Everyday ~ September 30, 2011

This just

seems surreal.  Wasn’t it like yesterday when I was sitting in Em’s room, making fun of her for having a zillion baby calendars everywhere? I’m exaggerating, she had like two of them. Em loves babies, motherhood, being pregnant, etc. She loves it all. In college, I was the one who just wanted to be done so that I could really run my business. Em wanted to be done because her dream was to get married and start a family. And that’s exactly what she did. Seth and Emily were married last August and are having a baby in only a matter of WEEKS!! This is CRAZY. We’re trying to squeeze in as many girl nights as possible before this little one arrives and makes

Alex + Rachel

The Eastern Shore Wedding | Kerr Place Wedding

Weddings ~ September 29, 2011

When I shoot

a friend’s wedding, it’s like the best of both worlds. I get to be a apart of their celebration and I also get to be behind the scenes.  I literally spent ALL day with Alex and Rachel and I loved every minute of it! You may remember these two from their engagement session.  I was a part of a worship team for Intervarsity at CNU and that’s where I met Alex.  Alex and I met sophomore year and continued to be a part of the band until we graduated. What you need to know is that this band wasn’t a typical band. We were a family. We spent literally HOURS sharing our life with one another. It was the most RANDOM group of people and I loved it. I remember hearing Alex talk about Rachel and since they

Wedding Wednesday

Preceremony Planning

Wedding Wednesday ~ September 28, 2011

You may

have heard it said that a wedding day is really planned around the pictures. If you haven’t heard that before… I promise I’m not just making that up because I’m a WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER. It’s true! I planned my wedding around my pictures and guess what! … Because of my timeline and the fabulous Jstar, I have a 50 page wedding album!!  The thing is, we ENJOYED our picture process. It was FUN and remember those moments with Michael and our bridal party so vividly! It’s important to think of photography on your wedding day as part of your WEDDING EXPERIENCE. More on that

Meet Caitlyn

Virginia Portrait Photographer | RF&P Park

Everyday ~ September 27, 2011

Well reason

number one why I love this girl is because she’s got a pretty awesome name. Caitlyn is a senior in our youth group at Gayton and whenever Michael and I talk about her… we tend to describe her as “legit”.  Let me explain what I mean by that. Caitlyn is the REAL DEAL.  She’s awesome and honest and she knows who she is.  She’s a hard worker, she’s compassionate and she’s honest. I adore her. We both do. Michael and I really don’t care for this whole “senior” thing too much.  We’re going to miss these kids!! Let’s not talk about that part.  Lets talk about Caitlyn’s session last week.  It poured all afternoon but we decided to take a chance
