Has anyone

noticed how many engagements have been on the blog recently?! WOWSERS! It’s just that time of the year. A HUGE shoutout to all of my sweet couples who have worked hard to make their session UNIQUE! Whether it’s shooting on a campus that means a lot to the couple, or shooting on capital hill or even at a State fair… these couples have made it easy for me to create a unique session for each one of them and I love them for it! Ryan and Shannon are no exception. We met in DC and started their engagement session at the Botanical Gardens.

Well everyone

it doesn’t get much better than this. Brandon proposed on JMU’s campus, where both he and Lisa had spent their years in college. He proposed under a gorgeous tree on the quad and it was perfect. Ohhh but there’s more….. his proposal included a PUPPY!!! Not just any puppy…. and little Golden Retriever puppy. Really?! How perfect is that?! Lisa emailed me in all CAPS, exclaiming that she was engaged!! She didn’t hesitate to tell me the whole proposal and I’m so glad she did because I read it and immediately thought Brandon walked on water! He’s wonderful! (It doesn’t help that I still reallllly

“WOWED” when he saw her during their First Look. He told her how amazing she looked, they hugged, kissed, laughed……it was beautiful…… but when she came down the aisle…. that’s when he fell to pieces. There is something powerful about that image for a groom. The groom can see ALL of the guests, he has just watched the entire bridal party make their way down the aisle and finally, here she comes…. the girl he’s choosing to spend the rest of his life with, the girl that filled a void in his life and became his best friend, here comes his bride. me a while back asking if I wouldn’t mind helping her surprise her boyfriend Patrick for his birthday. We were going to get together and just talk photog stuff since Patrick is into photography.
