Oh how I

wish I wasn’t running out the door for a lunch meeting!! I wanted to have time to explain just how amazing Jazz Nativity was this year at our church! Jazz Nativity is a large scale Jazz concert and it’s literally one of my new favorite Christmas traditions! This was year two that I was able to be a part of the production and guess who else sang with me…. MY HUSBAND. Bet you didn’t know he could sing did ya?!! Well, that’s because he HIDES it! several classes with Justin and Mary and two years at WPPI… I’ve come away learning one really important thing. You need to WOW your clients. Be more than they ever expected and completely blow their expectation of you out of the water… and that yields FREE word-of-mouth marketing!! Whenever

anyone moves to a new place and starts a new phase of life, they’re always hoping to find someone who will be really receptive and welcoming. When Michael and I moved to Short Pump, we were praying for just that. We were ALMOST married, Michael was starting a new job and was VERY new to the whole “full time youth pastor” thing, we just bought our first house, and we were starting over in a new church and a new community for the FIRST time in our lives. Uhhhh, we were a little overwhelmed. One of the greatest blessings of this past year and a half has been the support and friendships that we have gained at our new church.

There has

been a EXPLOSIVE amount of new photographers in the last 3 years. It’s unreal! And the reason for this is because starter DSLR cameras are at an all time low. When I bought my Canon Rebel xti back in 2006, it was $1200 and came “fully equipped” with the cheapest tripod known to man, a traveling case and a lens “extender”. You photogs out there may be wondering what a “lens extender” is. Well, it’s a little lens that attaches on to the end of any lens and does absolutely nothing. It makes the lens LOOK bigger but doesn’t have any purpose. I got suckered into buying so much CRAP when I first ventured into the world of Digital SLR cameras.

Well you

are in for a treat this morning… or afternoon. I think 11:45am is still the morning…especially on days when I wake up at 10:30! I don’t get to do that very often but right now I’m at VA Tech visiting my sister and her sweet roomies. So I’m acting like I’m in college again…. checking FB too much, eating cereal at 1am and sleeping in half the day. Ahhhh, it’s so nice. I miss this life! So anyway, back to your treat! You get to meet The FABULOUS Ali Williamson today. Seriously. Ali is one of those girls that you meet and instantly think “aww… she’s a sweetheart and I secretly want to be best friends”.
