Wow, what

a YEAR!! 2012 has been quite a busy year for us and after loading all of these snippets from this year’s weddings, I’m blown AWAY at the amazing people that have come into my life. This job is like no other. I LOVE photography and having the opportunity to be creative (and getting PAID for it!) …. but the relationships that I form with my clients are truly the icing on the cake. I’m sure every photographer feels this way… but I really think I have the most amazing couples on the planet! All of these snapshots from my 2012 weddings bring back such fun memories and I feel so honored that I was a part of all of these celebrations!!

this is a sorry excuse for a blog post… but today is Demolition Day and I’m busy vacuuming up 10 years of dust and dirt that have been living underneath the carpet in our living room and hallway. G-ROSS. My family came down to help us prepare for our new hardwood floors that will be put in next week!! Daddy brought his truck to pick up the flooring and then one thing led to another and now the carpet is gone all together!!  We’ll be renting our cozy cape cod once our new house is built and new flooring is on our list of to-do’s!!!  So I’m off to help the family continue their hammering and vacuuming!! & you KNOW I’ll be showing some before & afters!!

This tradition

started last year. It’s a tradition that I both LOVE and hate at the same time. (And speaking of TRADITIONS, congrats to Mary Powell and Sarah Goodwin for winning yesterday’s giveaway!! I LOVED reading all of those super fun traditions that you all share with your families!!! I’ll be in touch you two!!) So this tradition that I started last year wasn’t meant to be anything huge… it was just a simple list. I made of list of everything that went WELL….. mainly because I was feeling a little defeated… like I do every year around this time. I feel like there is still so much to do…. and so much to learn….

has them. Big or smal…. every family has their traditions. I’ve been hearing some CRAZY ones recently!!! My parent’s weren’t big on the Santa thing growing up. They just never made a big deal about it… instead, we focused on family traditions. However, I LOVE hearing about what some families do to make the season extra fun! For example, I just recently heard of this one:  Planting green tic tacs (“Reindeer Seeds”) in a pot of sugar and overnight they turn into candy canes! Or leaving out reindeer food on the front porch…. I don’t know what your traditions may be but I’d love to hear them!!

house to yours… MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I’m so BEYOND thankful for all of you that check this crazy blog. This blog started as a little place for me to post my work… and it’s turned into the HEARTBEAT of my business. I’m so blessed that people even care to come back to it day after day! That really blows my mind!! Most days I like to think that just my mom and sister check the blog because it’s less intimidating that way!! However, google analytics would suggest otherwise.
