Walmart

is not my favorite store in the world…. and I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way. I’m more of a Target girl! However, every now and then I get an idea and Walmart just happens to be the place where these ideas come to life! I wanted to make a Valentines display that was BUDGET FRIENDLY and somewhat easy to make. So I thought about decorating with TISSUE PAPER. Tissue paper is cheap and as I walked into Walmart, the “Valentine’s Day” section caught my eye. I ended up leaving with 8 packages of tissue paper and I spent a total of $7.00 on this project! obviously I used a few things from home that I already owned… but when it comes to

The phrase

“Love Grows” has always seemed cute to me. It’s catchy and makes for a great wedding theme. However, I didn’t really understand it until recently. When I walked down the aisle and said my vows and danced my first dance with my husband…. I loved him. I loved him so much…..but people say that you will love each other LESS on your wedding day than any other day in your marriage. Why? Because Love Grows. Doing life

As technology

keeps improving, there are more and more ways to document LIFE as it’s happening. I remember being in high school and wanting one of those SMALL digital cameras that had just come out so that I could take AMAZING pictures whenever I wanted. Then, some of the flip-phones came out with CAMERAS! What?! A cell phone with a CAMERA?! That’s just incredible! Over the years, the iphone has because one of the most popular cell phones in the WORLD! I love mine. When the iPhone came to Verizon, Michael and I set our alarms for 2:30AM to be the first to order ours online. Yea, that’s dedication right there!!

When I first

heard of it, I called it “Pin-Interest”… like a dork. Come on Katelyn, READ! “PINTEREST”! One word, two syllables. It’s not that hard. I had no idea what this was, all I knew was that I had to have an INVITATION to be a part of it. Well, of course I wanted to be a part of it! I requested to join Pinterest and a week later I was “Pinning”. It took me a while to understand this new phenomenon!! I added the “Pin it” button onto my browser and I started pinning EVERYTHING I loved. THIS. WAS. AWESOME. And like usual, once I find something new and AWESOME, I think to myself “Why didn’t I think of that?!!!”.

Well I have

officially realized that CONTESTS and COMPETITIONS are NOT my thing….even when they’re not on the softball field. Nope. There is a reason this girl doesn’t host contests on her blog very often!! I can BARELY TAKE THE PRESSURE!! I sat on the couch, staring at my computer screen and biting my nails for HOURS last night. No joke. Michael and I were up at 1:30am still reading. Post after post after post. I would read one and then shut my laptop and say “WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF?!!!”. I even had some of our youth group gals reading them to give me some opinions because gosh, this was just so HARD. You are all AMAZING. Seriously amazing.
