When one gets

engaged, the first thing to do is SCREAM and call everyone you love and scream some more! Then, after calling and notifying the close friends and family, you can make the “Relationship Status” change on Facebook. That part is ALMOST as exciting as the shiny new rock on your finger!! Then you start looking at the calendar and thinking of possible dates….. and then the next step is to choose a VENUE, book it…. and then book your photographer! (Well, that’s the order that my planning took place:). After you have booked your photographer and have shot your engagement session… the time has come for SAVE THE DATES.

It’s a contest!

I don’t do many contests on my blog. Some people have a contest like EVERYDAY! …not me. I think that’s because I’m not a competitive person and so I don’t even think about having contests!!! I don’t like competition at ALL… my sister got all of the competitive genes in our family. I was the cheerleader….. with pom poms and everything. So even though I’m not a huge fan of contests in my own life, I still think there needs to be a contest today on the blog!! Time is

PRECIOUS! I used to hear this all the time in college and think “Oh, it’s not THAT precious, if I run out of it, I’ll just stay up all night.” Well, I quickly realized that this wasn’t a healthy perspective on life. My mother warned me about what would happen if I kept living that lifestyle! She was right. I think I had circles under my eyes in every picture of myself from junior and senior year of college! It wasn’t healthy. Time just seemed to slip away from me in then and I knew that had to change once I graduated and got married. I needed structure and I also needed HELP with running my business.

I can’t believe

it’s February! I remember finishing up The Fall 2011 Workshop Experience and thinking “It’s going to be a while until it’s time for another one!”. Welp, I was wrong. After looking at schedules and planning ahead, right now is the PERFECT time to host another Workshop Experience! I’m happy to announce that I’ll be hosting the Spring 2012 Workshop Experience Friday March 16th from 9:00am-6:00pm in Richmond, VA.
