Today is Their Day!

  • Happy 29th Anniversary!

isn’t about weddings… or photography tips… or my business in general. This post is for my parents. They are the two people in my life who have influenced me more than anyone else.  I’ve watched them and have learned from them since I was a little girl.  I’ve watched them as leaders in our church and our community, I’ve watched them run our house and keep all of our crazy lives straight but most importantly, I’ve watched them love and serve each other for 24 years. I didn’t realize it while it was happening but every little thing they did affected me. I grew up wanting what they had. I wanted a husband that loved me like daddy loves momma…

Packaging Perks

  • Little Pretty Things Still Matter

literally on my way to the airport. Like, I’m in the car, typing on an iPad so please forgive the typos! I’m shooting a wedding in CA tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited!! It’s going to be beautiful!! So today I’m sharing a little peek of my packaging!!! This post is long overdue! I’ve been using this packaging for a while and I can’t believe I haven’t blogged it yet! Last year I decided that I was tired of CD’s. My disk drive was going bad and the burning process was burning me out (haha I crack myself up:). So I opted for a more modern option….the flash drive. It’s small, it’s easy and it’s compact!

Ask Anything

  • Defining Your Style

on a specific DAY or at ONE specific shoot.  As much as I WISHED for an overnight success, it didn’t happen that way for me. My first 8 months in business I felt like I was wandering.  I saw images that I loved and STYLES that I wanted to emulate but I just didn’t know how to get there. Gradually, over the course of a few weddings and several engagement sessions… it started to CLICK! I started to realize that my work was evolving into a STYLE. What do I mean by a “Style”?  Well, most photographers have a style of their own.  It’s a  consistent pattern of shooting and editing styles that make him or her unique.
