Gosh, I don’t

even know where to begin with these two! Let’s start with Melissa… or Moe. Our friendship started on the floor of my freshman dorm at our very first Hall Meeting in York River East. This bubbly girl sat beside me and said “is that a promise ring?! I have one of those!!!” and we’ve been friends ever since. Melissa and I stayed friends through our college years and even though we didn’t hangout all the time, it was NEVER awkward to be together. I just loved this girl! She was fun and spunky and genuinely just a sweet person to have in my life! Fast forward to senior year. I’ve known Joe from a distance but know we’re both on V-Team for Intervarsity…

Welp! Here’s

another wedding wednesday with some advice about WHY shooting the reception UNTOUCHED is REALLY important from a photography standpoint. Now, before you read on, let me explain what I mean by “Untouched”. When I say “I need to shoot the reception Untouched”, I mean I want to shoot a wide shot of the entire room before aunt Louise claims her seat extra early and throws her shawl down on the chair and her clutch on her place setting. The part of

the service came when it was time to share their vows. He took her hands and before he could make out the first line of his promises to her, the tears came flooding in. Big time. It was the sweetest thing. In that one moment, the whole room knew without a doubt just how much love Adam has for Lauren, his new bride. They exchanged rings and Lauren smiled the biggest smile when she placed that ring on his left hand. I remember seeing a ring on Michael’s ring finger for the first time. That one little aspect of the day makes it all seem SO REAL!! They shared a kiss and and exited the sanctuary, only to turn around and greet every row of guests! Talk about a lot of hugs and kisses!!

blessed with great friends in my life…. GREAT friends. Friends that I know I will be close with for a LIFETIME. I’m so thankful for the girls that I grew up with and then the girls that I spent my college year with . They seem like family to me and I adore them.
