Kevin + Maris | Engaged

A Georgetown Engagement

When did I

know it was going to be a great shoot? As soon as Mari showed me her teal polka dot dress! SCORE!! Loved it!! I actually wouldn’t mind finding one of my own… but don’t tell Michael because we just had a budget meeting and extra fun dresses are not on our “necessities” list!   So I met these two at Maris’s parent’s house and we started their session with Patch, their adorable rescue pup that they’ve had for about eight months now. He has become a part of their family and so of course he needed some portraits too!! After Patch was done with his modeling session we moved on over to Georgetown  and you just

Coaching

August 2012 | Steph and Sara
COACHING-aug-2012

Steph knocked

on our front door and I opened it while holding a spastic puppy who couldn’t wait to meet this new friend! As I tried to contain Bokeh, Michael was vacuuming quickly before heading to the office and I’m sure Steph thought “This is a mad house!”.  She literally walked into a world of chaos!! After Bokeh calmed down we got settled in my office and got down to business! 3 hours flies by when you’re having fun and talking all things photography!! Some have asked about coaching sessions and what they entail.  The great thing about these sessions is that YOU decide what we talk about.

Showit SHARE Group

People ask

me all the time “Who did your website!?” and the answer is always so complicated. If you’re talking about the Blog, Flosites designed it and they did a magnificent job. I loved working with them and I’m STILL working with them! If you’re talking about my Website, I designed it through Showit! The thing about Showit is that it’s not just a web design platform, it’s a community! Now, do I pay $39 a month to have friends? No, the community of Showit is just an added bonus and I really cherish these relationships! We recently had a Share Group meetup in Downtown the other night. It’s hard to get together in the middle of CRAZY season

Austen + Brittnie

A Kings Family Vineyard Wedding | Charlottesville Wedding

She sat in

my office and smile as she told me about her wedding day. “It’s just going to be magical” she said as she smiled over at her mom. Brittnie is a princess at heart. I could tell that from the first 5 minutes of meeting her and then as I got to know her throughout the last 8 months, I found out that Britt has been a princess for a LONG time. That’s how everyone talks about her. She’s just so sweet and kind and “princess-like”. This description couldn’t have rang more true than on her wedding day. I walked into the bridal suite and there she was, curling her hair and singing along to a disney sound track with her gorgeous voice! Britt was so excited… and a little nervous because  everything about

Coaching Sessions

September - November 2012
COACHING-2012

One of the

best decisions I have made during this wedding season was to start offering coaching sessions! I REALLY enjoy getting to know new photog friends, hearing their story and helping them take steps to move forward in their business. Some have asked if coaching sessions are ONLY for beginners and my answer to that is NO. I think beginners have a lot of initial “getting started” questions but I have met with photographers that have yet to shoot their first wedding and photographers that are in their 3rd year of shooting. It’s for anyone that is looking to grow their business and needs a little jumpstart.
