What I love

most about NYC is that the people that inhabit that island LOVE their city!! They talk about NYC as “their city”. There’s a certain feeling of ownership and belonging that is so evident whenever I am around New Yorkers and I think it’s really special! You don’t find that in EVERY city and so it’s always refreshing to hear about how much a couple loves where they live! Hieu and Sandra have been in the city for several years. Their jobs brought them to Manhattan and since they have lived there for quite some time, they know their way around! Whew! What a relief! It’s always a little intimidating to show up to a MASSIVE city

I’ve heard it

said that you can truly see the character of a person when they are in the midst of a hard time. Matt and Callie have had a crazy couple of weeks leading up to their wedding and I think they both would agree that it was a roller coaster ride. However, the ups and downs and the changes in their plans didn’t steal the joy of their wedding day. These two amaze me…. and I don’t say that lightly. They really do. Callie has this sweet spirit and calm personality that makes you love her without even knowing her!! I’ve barely had any time with these two and I already love and respect them so so much. As I watched their first look take place, it couldn’t have been more apparent that these two were made for this.

I know, I know

You’re probably thinking “Where’s the TUESDAY wedding post”?! Why isn’t there a new WEDDING?!! Well, I’m in NYC shooting an engagement session as you read this and if I’m being completely honest, I stayed up and tried to hammer it out but Matt and Callie deserve a non-rushed, beautiful blog post AND I need some sleeeeep! So since I’m so late posting these fun Coaching session shots, I feel like they would be the perfect post!! I just finished NOVEMBER’S coaching session today and I have to say that I literally love them SO so much! I wish I could do them every week!!

I’m working

on this blog post and listening to CHRISTMAS music!! Is it too early for that?? ha! I seriously love this time of year…. especially in Virginia. The colors around here are amazing… even after a hurricane!! Michael and I met Travis and Amy at her parent’s home on Fawn Lake in Fredericksburg for their eshoot last week and we were pleasantly surprised that Sandy’s wrath didn’t make a huge impact on the backyard!
