Baby Bokeh

Feeling Sentimental

My Mom

has these moments when she gets super “sentimental”. We know when they are coming because she starts hugging everyone and telling us she loves us. These “sentimental” spells are normally caused by someone talking about when we were younger or how fast time has flown by. I know it’s different with kids, but when I see pictures of baby Bokeh boy, I get sentimental. He was only so small for such a short period of time!! It’s been almost exactly ONE year since we brought him home and we don’t know what we would do without him. I mean really?! Just look at that face! Happy Homecoming day Bokeh boy!! We love and miss you while we’re away!!

Concrete Adventures

There’s nothing

better than showing up at JUST the right time for something! Sometimes we go to check on the house and we have impeccable timing!! This happened to us on Friday. We were stopping by to make our daily visit and we noticed the concrete truck was backed into the garage. After taking a quick look around, I was freezing and ready to get back in the car but Michael was slow to leave. I finally realized that he was secretly hoping to see the concrete being poured. As I walked back into the house, we heard the concrete truck start spinning faster and it was go time!!!

I really

believe that efficiency happens in the little things. Please know that I will NEVER claim to be 100% efficient in everything I do. There are somethings that just distract me and totally derail my productivity on a daily basis and I’m trying my BEST to get better at avoiding them. One of those things comes in the form of a fluffy, apricot colored fur-ball. The other distractions are normally online… facebook, pinterest, twitter. Social media can be SO good for a business and yet so bad at the same time. Over the course of the last 4 years, I’ve realized a few things about my office productivity

What’s this

you say? Well, it’s a very, VERY confusing electrical map of our first floor of the new house. While it looks like a hot mess, it’s really quite exciting. We walked through the whole house yesterday morning and added receptacles, scooted recessed lights and talked about switches. We’re so new to this and we’re so thankful for our site manager’s patience. The crazy thing is that we’re leaving for California for a week and so who knows what will change while we’re gone!! Pretty soon we’ll have siding and STONE (yes, stone:) and some brick! The windows are in, the plumbing is run and the electrical is a work in progress.

Today

is a busy day! We’re prepping for our “Electrical Walkthrough” in the new house. This is super intimidating and yet exciting! I’m ALSO prepping for my talk for Showit UNITED presentation that I’ll be presenting NEXT TUESDAY in Santa Barbara! I’m thankful this is happening on Tuesday so that I can enjoy the rest of the week without practicing my talk in the shower and annoying my husband! I’m speaking on something that has really been a GAME changer for me and my business over the last 4 years, BRAND LOYALTY. Over the last several years, we’ve experienced what it means to have a “following”… or better titled… a “Community”.
