Like I said

previously, we tried to have a “go with the flow” attitude on our RV adventure out west! It served us well…. especially on night 4! We were headed to Monterey with when Jill and Michael randomly found a campground that they wanted to try out. It wasn’t our original plan but we decided to go for it. It was advertised as being close to “The Dunes”. We had no idea what that meant or what it was going to look like but the campground was well kept and they had SHOWERS so we pulled in and hooked everything up for the night.

The

winter months for a photographer can be dreadful at times. It’s cold, and dark and for people like me who love COLOR, it can seem somewhat lifeless. I love winter but when it comes to photography, it’s not my favorite season. Well, I’m happy to announce that those days are over for 2013! Sure, it’s still chilly and the temperature for VA has not been normal for late March however, the grass is beginning to turn green and slowly but surely, spring is starting to show through!! I noticed this last weekend while I was shooting Mike and Kristin’s eshoot on the Southside of Richmond. This was my first 2013

During

our whole trip, we tried to find a good balance between a “Planned/Carefree” mindset. We knew our timeframe for each stop and we also knew the BIG stuff we wanted to see, but we showed up to different locations without a set PLAN as to what we would be doing. For example, as we approached the city of San Francisco, Michael was driving and I heard them mention that they wanted to rent scooters for the next day to tour the city. Jill immediately got on her phone and looked up reviews for San Fran scooter rentals…. we quickly dismissed that idea.

been asked on multiple occasions, “So what ARE coaching sessions?”. This is a great question that I love to answer!! I realized two years ago that even though I LOVE teaching workshops, I was receiving a lot of requests for mentoring and one-on-one training. Photographers from all over had very specific questions about their businesses and they wanted advice about how to make this dream of theirs actually HAPPEN! A workshop is a GREAT way to learn about how I made it happen and how I run my business from top to bottom… but there isn’t much time for personal evaluation for the attendees. It’s just

Once again,

I’m amazed at this VA weather. As I’m sorting through these images from California, I find it hard to believe that we were just in sunny, 70 degree weather and now that we’re back in VA, we have had yet another snow storm! I’m not complaining! I love the snow!! It’s just strange to see so much of it in late MARCH! Anyway, we’re continuing our journey through our RV Vaca 2013 and I can’t WAIT to share some pics from Yosemite! We traveled to Yosemite on our second day of the trip and it was just breathtaking! The views, the waterfalls and the sequoias were just AMAZING!! As we drove through this awesome area,
