Meet Julia

A University of Richmond Shoot
university-of-richmond-portraits

With

each senior shoot that I do, I feel older and older!! When Julia first came into my life she was in her freshman year and I remember thinking to myself “Wow, when that class graduates, then I’ll feel old!!”… Welp! It’s true. I feel like time is going by faster than ever!! I always wonder if the seniors feel like time is passing quickly or if it’s just me!! I think whenever you’re busy, time seems to pass more quickly. So because of sport schedules, hard classes and college apps that are due, I’m sure this year is flying by for Julia!!

Meet Kelsey

A Goochland County Senior Portrait Shoot

This

may just be one of my most favorite senior shoots to date! Beautiful girl, beautiful light and some fun locations and outfits made for a GREAT shoot on Monday! Kelsey is just the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I remember thinking that as soon as I met her at youth group a couple of years ago. Her smile and her personality can make anyone love her instantly!! I have been looking forward to her portraits because I knew they would be a blast! … And they were! I can’t wait to share my favorites and let you see some gorgeous portraits of this amazing girl!

Meet Hadley

A Downtown Richmond Senior Shoot

If there

is one characteristic that I wish every high schooler had, it would be motivation and the ability to dream BIG…. ok those are two things. I think it’s sad when I meet students that are completely satisfied with the status quo and have no real ambitions for the future. Hadley could not be further from that type of high school student. Since I met her, I have known that she was driven and that she had leadership qualities! However, I met Hadley when she was first starting high school and so I’ve seen her actually watched her grow and realize just how much of a leader she is and what she is capable of over the last 3 years.

Summer Senior Shoots

You all

know that I’m not a portrait photographer but I do senior portraits for seniors within our youth group at church. This summer I’ve really had to cut back because of our wedding schedule but I took one day out of our schedule in August to accomplish three shoots that I had promised to do for a long time. The thing is, I love these little shoots! It’s fun for me to spend time with these awesome seniors, I just wish I had more time for them. Anyway, I’m glad I had a chance to do these 3 shoots last month and I’m excited to share a few favorites from each one!

Kevin + Anna Grace | Engaged

A Bethany Beach, DE Engagement

We

met a couple of years ago. She attended one of my workshops and not only did we have mutual friends, we also had a mutual obsession with TEAL! …. Which in my book, automatically makes us great friends! :) Anna Grace was starting her journey into the photography world while she was in college (sound familiar?!) and I loved getting to know her during The Workshop Experience! As she left after a long day of teaching, we hugged goodbye and she stopped and said “I hope you know you’re shooting my wedding one day.” Well, I’ve heard that before…. sometimes it happens and then sometimes and I never see them again. But when Anna Grace said it,
