Do you remember

these two?! They were married last May, right before our graduation from CNU! Then, after only being married a few months, they left for TANZANIA!! Crazy!! They have been living there and working with Young Life and doing amazing things for the Lord. They were gone 11 months and just returned home for a visit. Because they were getting married while Mary was trying to finish college, there wasn’t much time for an engagement session and so they contacted me a few weeks ago to see if they could do their e-session now!!

thinking “Oh my gosh! What has Katelyn done now?!”.  Well, before you jump to conclusions, this was ALL Maggie’s idea!!! Maggie is a senior in our youth group and she’s super artsy and so talented. So for youth sunday, she needed a senior picture to use for the slideshow and I told her to come by the house.  500 pictures later….. she had her one picture she needed! I warned her, I can’t just take 1 picture! That’s literally impossible for me. We spent a few minutes taking pictures around the house and then we went for it. Maggie wanted to show her artsy side and be totally abstract with her pictures.

This is a mini

session and it’s not really for Cary…. Cary could care less about having pictures done. He’s almost a freshman in college, taking late senior pictures is the last thing on his mind….. these are for his sweet momma. The Wimbish family has been such a huge part of our new life here in Shortpump. They have made our transition so easy and we absolutely LOVE all three of their boys. The Wimbish brothers are amazing and Michael and I are both a little disappointed that Cary is going off to college in the fall. Luckily we still have several years left with Grayson and Hampton and if I know Cary….

I am so excited

to show off this amazing family! Steph and Tyler have two beautiful little girls that may just be the happiest sisters in the world! Steph is my second cousin and we got to see them during our trip to Wisconsin for her brother Britt’s wedding! Every time I saw their girls, they were ALWAYS smiling. Always. This was my first time EVER meeting Chasey and Macki and our family fell in love with them!  The Sunday before the 4th of July, we were at the lake with the rest of their family, watching fireworks and eating BBQ. We had some time that afternoon to do the fastest, most productive family session EVER.

BLOG! I was so honored when Cameron emailed me several months back and inquired about a portrait session.  He wanted to surprise his girlfriend of 3 years with a session because he KNEW she would love it! He was right. Emily was smiling from ear to ear the ENTIRE session. She’s so joyful and happy, I loved her from the moment I met her! Cameron and Emily drove down from fairfax for a portrait session in downtown Ashland. The light was gorgeous and even though it was a hot one, the evening couldn’t have been more beautiful! We walked and talked about their dreams and how Emily is going to be an awesome wedding
