Yesterday

we spent the day with Justin & Mary and their amazing crew in DC for the “What’s Next” tour! …. and when I say we spent the DAY… I mean ALL DAY. 10+ hours! That’s how much we love them. It was SUCH a fun time. I just adore the photographers from the surrounding areas. They are simply amazing, genuine and sweet!! I had the chance to see some old faces, some new faces and some friends that flew in all the way from CA!! We have one of those great CA friends staying with us for the day as we prepare for the Global SHARE that’s being broadcasted live from our house…

This week

Michael and I have been working on our budget. Don’t you want to come hangout with US?! We’re so much fun to be around… especially during “budget meetings”…. I’m kidding. That’s the LAST place I want to be. I’m horrible at holding onto receipts and every time I type some large quantity of numbers into the calculator I end up hitting ONE wrong number and have to start over!! It’s a painful process but it has to be done. Not only are we budgeting for our personal life but we’re also budgeting for the business as well. I’ve actually never budgeted expenses out for the business

There has

been a common theme rolling around in my head this week. It’s the idea of “balance” and what a “normal life” is supposed to look like. I see people walking their dogs at the same time every morning and older couples that take a nightly jog together. We live close to a little league park and I see families pull in every Tuesday night for games and then probably head home to get homework done before bedtime. Some couples we know get to relax every Saturday. Saturday’s are “normal” people’s day to do LIFE stuff. Like running to the grocery store, yard work, visiting family, shopping with friends, etc etc. But that isn’t my life…my job AND

How many

of you have gone to a cafe or coffee shop or restaurant and have decided on a WHIM to try something NEW?! Whenever this happens to me I feel like deep down, I’m being a rebel! A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to try a little something NEW at STARBUCKS! What?! Breaking away from my regular order?! Yes. I cheated on my carmel iced mocha and I found something NEW that I like! It’s healthier too! I even have Michael buying “Trenta”s of this new drink! Ps. When did “Trenta’s” become an option?! Those cups are MASSIVE!! So here’s the deal… because I realize “Featured” posts are BORING… we’re spicing it up a little bit!!

Recently

I have been making some changes in my life. I guess you can call them new years resolutions because these lifestyle changes all sound like changes people would make at the beginning of the new year. I didn’t really go into 2012 with a list of hardcore lifestyle adjustments…. I just knew something needed to be different. My time management needed to improve, my “systems” needed to be enhanced and my workout life needed to be resurrected!!! Seriously, just holding a heavy camera up once a week
