Once again,

I’m amazed at this VA weather. As I’m sorting through these images from California, I find it hard to believe that we were just in sunny, 70 degree weather and now that we’re back in VA, we have had yet another snow storm! I’m not complaining! I love the snow!! It’s just strange to see so much of it in late MARCH! Anyway, we’re continuing our journey through our RV Vaca 2013 and I can’t WAIT to share some pics from Yosemite! We traveled to Yosemite on our second day of the trip and it was just breathtaking! The views, the waterfalls and the sequoias were just AMAZING!! As we drove through this awesome area,

The idea

started last year. Michael was only able to stay at WPPI for a mere 48 hours last year and we knew that next year we wanted it to be different. Buddy and Jill stayed out west after WPPI last year and had a little vaca in the desert! They went exploring and their video convinced us that we needed to have a vacation out west in 2013!! So we did just that! Back in the fall we reserved a motorhome and Michael started planning out trip to the California coastline. We knew it was going to be fun but we had no idea how much AMAZING-NESS we would find on our journey!!

We’re

living our house building experience through pictures right now. It’s a little nerve racking to think that we’re missing a full week and a half of work but we have some great house sitters (aka, our parents) who are keeping us up to date on the progress. Building a house is just a crazy experience…. and we do love it! We are just so thankful for the advice that we received about visiting the site everyday and taking a ton of pictures (like I would really have an issue with that). Right now they’re probably finishing the stone on the front and who knows what’s happening on the interior!

We’re

moving right along with the new house! The walls are drywalled and spackled, the shake siding is on and all of the windows are in! It’s just insane to watch this take form. We came back from our CA trip two weeks ago and it was like it was a totally different house! We’ve had several bumps along the road but they have been corrected and we’re getting so excited to see all of our interior selections start to come in! We picked a dark wood floor for the downstairs. It isn’t a traditional hard wood, it’s hand scraped with random width and we love it! The trim and the molding will be white and the downstairs is pretty wide open. So naturally, I have a painting dilemma.

Two weeks

ago we were in sunny California… last week were at home with 3 inches of snow… this week we’re in Vegas and it’s in the 70′s… next week we’ll be in Northern California and it’s going to be chilly… YIKES! I’m really surprised I haven’t gotten sick! (knocking on wood now). March is just a crazy month for us but we’re so excited about these fun little trips. We realize this is the time to do this. No kids, no demanding work schedules… we’re taking advantage of this season of life and it’s a lot of fun! When we were at the UNITED conference, I had the opportunity to speak and I was so honored to be there.
