series on my blog called “Ask Anything” and it’s basically a series of posts that answer FAQ’s from photographers! Well, today I want to open up the same opportunity for BRIDES!! I’m definitely NOT a wedding planner but after shooting 80+ weddings and planning my own, I think it’s safe to say that I’ve see a lot! I’ve seen GREAT ideas, NOT so great ideas… amazing details, awesome timelines, etc. etc. So! I want to open up this wedding wednesday to YOU!! I have confessed my deep love for “First Looks” numerous times on the blog and I tend to point them out in every blog post. There is a reason for this. They’re AWESOME. When I was

planning MY wedding… I ran into a common problem! I would see ideas on wedding blogs (thank goodness I wasn’t addicted to Pinterest at the time!) and I would want to replicate those ideas for my wedding but I didn’t know HOW! Where do brides find adorable mix-matchy dresses? Where do they find custom signs and handmade jewlery? And WHERE in the WORLD did they find those awesome TIES and BOWTIES?! I had a really bad tie dilema! It was quite frustrating. I bought several ties from Etsy that were just blah (however you CAN find amazing wedding stuff on there!!!)… and then I searched every department

There are

a lot of things that run through a bride’s mind on her wedding day. Is everyone where they need to be? Is the cake going to show up? Is my hair ok? Are we on schedule?! Did I forget something?! It’s a lot of stress. The LAST thing she needs to be worrying about is “WHERE ARE WE GOING TO TAKE PICTURES?!!”. So this post helps give a little insight about what the role of a photographer should be when prepping for portraits on the wedding day. The Shoe Dilemma

Here’s the

truth…. no one wants to admit it but everyone knows it…. sometimes beautiful heels just HURT. It’s unfortunate. You could be sporting a $600 pair of Jimmy Choo’s or some pumps from Payless and if you stand in them too long, you’re going to be in pain. Now, I have come to realize that the higher the price tag, the better the fit. I have ONE pair of real heels and they are definitely more comfortable than my cheapo pairs!! So what does this mean for a bride? Are you supposed to just suck it up and be miserable? …. Or are there OTHER options out there? Great news! … Brides are doing WHATEVER they want these days!!
