There are

things about my wedding day that I wouldn’t change AT ALL…. I wouldn’t even touch them! It was perfect… the beginning, the middle, the end.. I loved it ALL. 10.10.10 was undoubtably the best day of our life! It’s really kinda unexplainable how awesome it was! I remember such VIVID moments about that day. Like lining up with our bridal party before our big entrance into the reception! People were EVERYWHERE, the candy bar was already half eaten, guests were in my mom’s sunroom waving at us before we walked through the flower covered arbor and everyone was trying to take pictures of their own to capture the moment.

It’s crazy

to think about, but only 5-7 years ago, engagement portraits were NOT what you see today! If you’re working in the wedding industry or are a bride just getting started with your planning, I think it’s important to realize just HOW MUCH this industry has evolved in the last several years. It’s really transforming into something TOTALLY different than what it used to be! I’ve heard several people that aren’t associated with the industry say things like “What are ENGAGEMENT portraits? I’ve never even heard of that!!!”. Well when I hear that, I think “WHAT?! Engagements?! It’s like a right of passage for the wedding day!

A lot of brides

are very secretive about their “Look” for the big day. No one but mom and sisters see the dress before hand and they NEVER try it on except for a fitting. Welp, this wasn’t the case for me. Welp, here

we go! This could either be a major FAIL or something new that gets incorporated every now and then into the blog! We’ll see! Video posting and recording is NOT my strongest area! As you will be able to tell, my train of thought escapes me sometimes! However, despite my mess ups and murmuring, you get to meet Bokeh and hear 3 tips about how to PREPARE THE GROOM for the engagement session! This is actually a VERY important thing to consider before your shoot. The more your fiance’ is prepared, the more relaxed he will feel and the more genuine your images will be!
