it was just last month that we were shooting Jill’s Bridal session at the Farm.  It’s crazy how fast a YEAR can fly by! Now it’s Mandy’s turn and I’m SO glad we made this little shoot happen before their big day! It gave me a little taste of what Mandy and Josh’s Wedding was going to be like and I couldn’t WAIT! Mandy’s details were insane! She worked SO hard on her wedding in the midst of Student teaching and graduating and to be honest, I’m not sure how she did it!  Mandy ACTUALLY told Jill and I that she hadn’t really done much for the wedding, just made a few things here and there.

Season has officially begun! And what better way to start than with TJ and Meredith!!! You may remember their fall engagement session at JMU… there was a TON of Purple and Yellow going on… and their wedding wasn’t any different! These two JMU Alum celebrated what I like to call the “JMU Wedding” last saturday!! Purple and Yellow filled the bouquets and JMU apparel kept showing up everywhere! From the guestbook to the garter, I think it’s safe to say that TJ and Meredith LOVE their school!! It feels like we were JUST walking about campus talking about this day. Meredith emailed me over a year before their wedding date and we set up a meeting time… with the WHOLE family! I loved meeting her parents

me last fall with exclamation marks and ALL CAPS, asking if there was ANY way that we could meet up and do a “Just Married” shoot!  I’ve done this several times for different couples and I love to make them happen whenever I can! Corey and Shelby were married last summer at the Williamsburg Lodge and their wedding was gorgeous…I mean just look at them… of course it would be gorgeous! Shelby told me all about her details and things that she had handmade… planning a wedding when you’re a detail oriented bride is a lot of WORK. (I would know:) And so I think it’s perfectly reasonable to want to have a second wedding shoot to capture some more

I host a contest… and I say “every year” like I’ve been doing this forever… really, this is only the 3rd annual “Love Shots” contest! I’m not really sure where it got its’ name… I just came up with it! But it originated as a “Valentine’s Day” contest. Welp! I was crazy busy around that time this year and so I forgot to post it! But have no fear! It’s back again and I can’t WAIT to see who wins! EVERY WEDDING I shot from LAST February through THIS PAST February is entered in the contest.  ONE COUPLE will win a 20×30 CANVAS at the end! All they need to do to win is have the MOST VOTES by MONDAY April 2nd at 12pm.
