  • A Classic Country Club Wedding | Wytheville, VA

We pulled into the quaint little town of Wytheville, Va and it was just as charming as everyone said it would be. The mom and pop shops lined the streets of downtown and the mountains were in the distance. It’s a gorgeous place to live! Michael and I have family friends that are really close to our hearts and they live in the area so we stayed with them the night before the wedding. We loved seeing how everyone interacted with one another because it reminded us of our hometown. Everyone knows everybody… everyone wanted to be a part of the day… and everyone was overjoyed to see these two tie the knot! Someone even said in passing “This is a BIG day for Wytheville!” How cute is that?! It was a big day… and it was a BEAUTIFUL day! The temperature outside felt like Fall and I loved it!!

  • A Mount Ida Wedding | Charlottesville, VA

We landed from our trip to Australia and got back into the routine of emails and blogging and laundry. Lots of laundry. One of the emails I sent was to Mary to let her know that her photographers were safe and sound and back into the US. She mentioned that she had purchased cute little umbrellas for all of her girls since there was a 80% chance of rain for all of Saturday. We left our house and started driving to Charlottesville on the day of the wedding and the clouds began to clear. Jason and Mary couldn’t stop talking about how amazing their supposedly rainy wedding day turned out. It wasn’t rainy at all! It was perfect. I believe the way they kept describing it was “This is INSANE! What is this?! It’s beautiful out there!”. They had a dream wedding day surrounded by their family and friends!!

  • A Cape May Vow Renewal

People always say that they are going to hire us to shoot their vow renewal! A lot of people are joking… because really, how many people actually have the opportunity to have a REAL vow renewal?! Not many. For many, life is too busy and their desire to renew and recommit their marriage vows with the love of their life gets pushed to the sidelines. Work, kids and crazy schedules are legitimate excuses… but they weren’t big enough excuses for Mike and Kaitlin. They wanted this and so they made it happen! It wasn’t that they wanted a fun party, they wanted a WEDDING… a wedding and a celebration that they didn’t have before. Kaitlin is a successful photographer in Cape May and after 3 years of photographing beautiful weddings, it was finally her turn! It was her turn to be photographed getting into her dress, her turn to share a first look with her husband of 5 years and her turn to have romantic portraits taken with her husband.
