It amazes
me at how BUSY some of these brides are. Lena contacted me months ago and we set up their engagement session. This was the only time they could get together and make it happen. Josh is in Med school and Lena has an internship several hours away from him. Oh long distance……it’s hard! However, I kinda like shooting engagement sessions for couples that don’t get to see each other every single day because this time for them is EXTRA special! They cherish their time more because they don’t get a lot of it! So as soon as I met these two, I knew it was going to be a great shoot. Their Save-the-Date idea was genius,
their outfits were amazing and it was the PERFECT November day! We couldn’t have asked for better weather! We started shooting on UVA’s campus. Now don’t make fun of me…. but I think this was my FIRST time really being main campus…. and my PARENTS MET THERE! Both of my parent’s are UVA Alumni and I have never been to their campus. What?! Come on Momma and Daddy, where’s the school spirit?!! It’s a incredible campus and we timed everything JUST right because the light was glowy and peaking over the sides of the historic brick buildings and archways. We ended Josh and Lena’s session as the beautiful Pippin Hill Vineyard! (If anyone wants to book be and get married there… I would love you forever!!)
I loved getting to know this sweet couple and hear about their life and their where they are from. Lena and I have a lot of similarities since we both come from a small town but what I will remember MOST about this session are Lena’s EYES! Here eyes are BRIGHT BLUE!! … Like almost TEAL! She’s beautiful and Josh couldn’t be more handsome. Such a cute pair! Enjoy my favorites and have a fabulous weekend!!!
