dreamed of living on a hill. Like, a BIG hill….. a hill that is borderline a small mountain! I grew up living in the country and my parent’s house is on a small hill and I loved it! Whenever I travel over Afton Mountain, I just think of how awesome it would be to walk out on my front porch and be able to see for MILES and MILES! Hey, a girl can dream. Last week I shot a quick session for our friend’s Craig and Jessica in Crozet, VA. This little town outside of Charlottesville stole my heart. The rolling hills and old victorian style homes are breathtaking. As we traveled down the country roads, we found a random

opening in a fence line and so we pulled over. The backdrop was unbelievable!! The light, the rolling hills, Craig and Jessica’s incredible model-like characteristics…. they all worked in my favor and I’m happy to say that we shot some great portraits!! Craig and Jess went to our church and they were some of the first people we met when we first moved to Richmond. Recently, they both got jobs in Crozet and moved out that way. We’re so sad to see them go but so excited as they start this new phase of life together. They just recently purchased their first home and let me say… it’s ADORABLE! I’ve never seen it in real life but the pics on facebook make it look picture perfect! Now they have some new portraits to fill their walls and it was an honor to spend the afternoon with them! Now I realize these next two are almost identical. This is for the photographers out there. This first shot was shot with the 35 1.4 and the second was with the 50 1.2. You can really notice a difference when you look at the sky and amount of hills captured in the 35 vs. the 50. Just a little comparison for ya!
