You remember
these two… how can you forget them? I secretly shot their proposal and blogged it several months ago. I’m happy to say that this time, I didn’t hit my face on a table or act like a nervous wreck. Whew! Engagement sessions are a lot easier than secretly shooting a proposal! If you haven’t seen that post, you can read it HERE and you should, because it will give you a little background on this amazing couple. I was Josh’s neighbor in college and Mandy was one of my roommates senior year. I’m sure you’re thinking “Gosh, how many roommates does she have?!”. I had quite a few and we’re all super close. However, Mandy has a special place in my heart.
We hung out some when she was a freshman and I was a sophomore….. then we ended up having “special time” every week (don’t laugh at the name, we just started calling it that and it stuck!). When Mandy moved into the Middle House my senior year, I wasn’t just excited to have a new awesome roomie, but I was also getting a roommate that understood what it was like to be dating someone for over 5 years! We watched our relationships with Michael and Josh go through really amazing phases and then some hard times as well. I needed her friendship so much and her presence in my life during college was such a gift. Mandy has a heart of gold and she’s one of the sweetest girls I know… and I’m not just saying that. You just wait until you see the comments for this post. Everyone loves these two.
Josh and Mandy are just an incredible couple and their marriage is going to be such a blessing to so many people. If you don’t know what I mean by that, let me explain. We were created for this. Marriage is God’s idea and when two people that love the Lord, like Mandy and Josh, decide to commit to be a team for LIFE….awesome things happen. Josh and Mandy are best friends and have been for years and years… I’m so excited to watch them start this new phase of life together and enter the “old married people club” with the rest of us:). I’m kidding, we’re not old…. not yet. But I’m actually excited to look back 20 years from now and remember how exciting this phase of life was for all of us. I’m so honored to be a part of this!!! Josh and Mandy, you truly are a one of a kind couple and I mean that in the BEST way. You make others happy just by being around them and that’s such a gift! You know how excited I am about the wedding so I won’t waste time exclaiming that again:). Love you both enjoy these images!! I have some new all time favs in this post!!!!

j gar: ( November 9, 2011 9:30 pm ) well, look who's back. i have been getting a lot of pressure for this comment, so i hope it lives up to the hype. knowing me, how could it not? anyway, back to the task at hand. k jam, great work. that's all i have to say about you. and you got bangs today? wow, surprised you didn't just go back to the mom cut for old times sake too if we're going all the way back to middle school. also, don't know how i just noticed this now and never before, but the font of the question mark is funny on here. it looks like an upside down metal s-hook. now that i mention it, i may just finish all my sentences with question marks, even if they aren't questions? kind of like that. ok, that's annoying. back to the task hand. what can i say about these pictures that hasn't already been said? yes, question! oh wait, maybe i'll say nothing, because that's the only thing that hasn't been said. i'm not that mean-spirited. big fan of the one's with the sun and hay bales in them. oh, and the ones with leaves in them. @lilmandyroca would get mad at me for not mentioning the leaves. and the tree. whew, that was a close one. but honestly, this is easily one of the best e-sessions of all time, if not the best. it's so amazing to see two great friends be so happy and soon call each other husband and wife! i hope that sufficed until the wedding post. i will now be saving up all my untapped comment energy for the next 6 months in mental preparation for 5-5-12. and what a great comment, i mean day, it will be!
