24 Hrs in the Middle of Nowhere
To some,
hanging out in the middle of nowhere Virginia with no cell service and 40 teenagers doesn’t sound like a dream weekend… but Michael and I love it. Maybe we just love these kids (which we do) … or maybe we like youth group retreats because we grew up with them… or maybe it’s a combination of the two! …. It’s most definitely a combination:) We’ve spent two plus years getting to know these kids and they are a huge part of our lives. When I’m not working or doing family stuff…. we’re with them. This is where a large chunk of our free time is spent and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We love them and while I’m a little bit biased towards the girls… I do love the boys…when they aren’t terrorizing Bokeh! (Just kidding, Bokeh loves it)….. The girls have a special place in my heart and I seriously feel like I have 20 younger sisters!! It’s wonderful:)
So two weekends ago, after my workshop, I headed to the mountains to meet up with the group and even though I was running on little sleep, it was amazing!! I loved every second of it and I’m so thankful for times like that to unplug and get away from normal, busy LIFE!! Enjoy a little glance at my 24hours in the mountains!!!
