Aching Feet & Inspiration

  • Monday

are so many things I need to do… and only ONE thing I WANT to do… and that’s SLEEP! Whew! What a whirlwind of a weekend! Thank the Lord I’m still moving and feeling good today because I have an engagement session in a few hours! The craziness began Friday when Annamarie and I drove to Charleston, SC to shoot Dustin and Brittani’s beautiful wedding (that will be on the blog tomorrow!!). Then we left their reception and DROVE HOME…. well, Anna drove and I culled the whole wedding!  I went to bed at 5:30am, woke up at 11am and was shooting Trey and Kiersten’s wedding at 2pm!

WHAT?!! I’ve been a little nervous about this weekend for a while just because there are so many things that needed to work out just right in order make everything fall into place! Luckily, it all happened flawlessly.  So now it’s Monday and I’m feeling it! My feet are sore, my voice is gone and my batteries are dead but something that I didn’t expect to feel is INSPIRATION. Normally after a rampage of shooting, photographers feel burnt out and just DONE for a few days but I feel the opposite. I’m SO very thankful that I was blessed with two AMAZING couples this weekend that made me fall more in love with my job. After 30+ weddings a year, one can start to burn out and forget how awesome this job is…. but hasn’t happened to me yet and I’m so grateful. So here’s to the rest of wedding season (no it doesn’t end in August like everyone seems to think… Sept and Oct are INSANE!). For all of you out there with two months to go, I wish you BEAUTIFUL weddings, amazing images and weekends that leave you wanting more!! Happy Monday everyone!!

I can’t imagine doing that! I could barely walk at the end of the day shooting my first wedding a few weeks ago – can’t imagine doing it two days in a row!! You’re amazing! Can’t wait to see the photos!!!

Thank you thank you thank you for all of your hard work and for finding all that energy somewhere…you are awesome and we cannot wait to see our blog post! I am still trying to swim out of all the overwhelming emotions that comes with being a BRIDE (so glad it’s a one time thing!) and I just can’t wait to see all of the wonderful moments that you and Annamarie captured that Dustin and I were unable to see. We really hope you enjoyed yourselves and being in Charleston :)

Get it, girl! I shot my first double header back in August and I don’t know if I’ll be doing any more because I felt so completely sapped after that weekend. Total aside, how did you have enough battery power on your laptop to last the entire drive? Do you have a car charger?

GIRL! I don’t know how you did it, but you did everything at T & K’s wedding with a smile, grant it was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed but I knew you were on the run, and it was such an encouragement. Can’t wait to see the pictures ! :)

I honestly don’t know how you do it woman! You are seriously amazing. I have had double headers for the past month straight and I’m at the end of my rope… need sleep, but so much editing to do! Will you ever chat more about your outsourcing you use for editing now? I’m thinking of outsourcing, but haven’t found a company I LOVE yet… but lord knows I need the help! Keep going woman – you inspire us all!
