A Lake Monticello Engagement Shoot

  • Matt + Sarah | Engaged

emailed back and forth before the shoot because the weather was ominous. The scattered thunderstorms in the forecast were daunting but between our schedules and their schedules, we really didn’t want to cancel. So we decided to give it a shot! Rain or shine… we were going to make this happen! Michael and I drove up to Lake Monticello last week to meet Matt and Sarah and they couldn’t have been any sweeter!! I just love meeting our couples for the first time and immediately knowing that we are a GREAT fit! They had the BEST attitude about the clouds that started rolling in right as we began their session.

A King Family Vineyard Wedding | Charlottesville, VA

  • Hutch + Kerri

Michael and I have come to realize that we love Charlottesville!! Why?! Because one day we want to retire on top of a rolling hill that overlooks the blue ridge mountains! We love the rolling hills and the beautiful historic estates and vineyards. It’s the perfect place to start a brand new season of your life. Hutch and Kerri said their vows on the gorgeous grounds of King Family Vineyard with horses and mountains as their backdrop. It was a beautiful 80 degrees and their day couldn’t have gone any smoother! I’m biased because the girls were in light teal dresses but everything was stunning and Kerri picked the perfect palette for a mid June wedding! As I entered the bridal suite, I was greeted by not one but TWO KJ Brides!

After I shot those two weddings, I remember telling my sister that one day when it was time for her to get married, I didn’t want to shoot her wedding
