7 Days on the Other Side of the World

  • Australia 2014

were moments when I just had to keep reminding myself “We’re closer to CHINA right now than we are to HOME! WEIRD!!!”. Sometimes when you fly for 15 hours and don’t sleep for 24 hours, you forget just how CRAZY it is that you’re half a world away from home and all that’s familiar to you. Michael and I flew to Sydney Australia at the end of July after an engagement session and a double header weekend. It was actually a great way to travel because we were so tired that we slept for a large portion of that super long flight from LAX to Sydney!

Alexandria, VA | Recap

  • CLIC Conference

who follow us on instagram…. you may have seen that Bokeh has been traveling with us for a few days. He not only want on a sailing trip, he also went to a PHOTOGRAPHY conference!! We stayed at an incredible pet friendly hotel in Alexandria, ate dinner outside at a pet friendly restaurant and he then he actually attended part of the conference yesterday too!! We loved having him with us and he did GREAT! I was so proud!! It seriously felt like we had brought a child along that no one had met before because photographers LOVE meeting “our baby”! haha He was quite a hit with the ladies!

A Mount Ida Wedding | Charlottesville, VA

  • Jason + Mary

We landed from our trip to Australia and got back into the routine of emails and blogging and laundry. Lots of laundry. One of the emails I sent was to Mary to let her know that her photographers were safe and sound and back into the US. She mentioned that she had purchased cute little umbrellas for all of her girls since there was a 80% chance of rain for all of Saturday. We left our house and started driving to Charlottesville on the day of the wedding and the clouds began to clear. Jason and Mary couldn’t stop talking about how amazing their supposedly rainy wedding day turned out. It wasn’t rainy at all! It was perfect. I believe the way they kept describing it was “This is INSANE! What is this?! It’s beautiful out there!”. They had a dream wedding day surrounded by their family and friends!!
