In a Nutshell

  • United 2013

ago we were in sunny California… last week were at home with 3 inches of snow… this week we’re in Vegas and it’s in the 70’s… next week we’ll be in Northern California and it’s going to be chilly… YIKES! I’m really surprised I haven’t gotten sick! (knocking on wood now). March is just a crazy month for us but we’re so excited about these fun little trips. We realize this is the time to do this. No kids, no demanding work schedules… we’re taking advantage of this season of life and it’s a lot of fun! When we were at the UNITED conference, I had the opportunity to speak and I was so honored to be there.

Chromatic Aberration... Ewww

  • Ask Anything

photographer has dealt with this at some point or another. And if a photographer says to you “I’ve never had an issue with Chromatic Aberration”, chances are, they have but they aren’t aware of it! It’s a TINY little issue that photographers run into with intricate details in images. Please don’t ask me to explain what causes chromatic aberration in detail because I already sound nerdy enough just mentioning the name!! (And to be honest, I really don’t know!) What I DO know is that when you’re shooting heavily detailed things, chromatic aberration has the possibility of rearing its’ ugly head!

Why I Love It & Why It's for Everyone!

  • The New Pass

I don’t know everything about the New PASS, but I do know that it’s getting SO close to being released to everyone! And I know some features about PASS that are going to knock your socks off!! This year I made a list of the things that went really WELL in 2012. I also made a list of things the didn’t go so well in 2012 and that need to be fixed. A lot of the items on the “need to be fixed” list are being fixed with the new PASS! Yeaa! I wanted an easier way for my clients to download their images, I didn’t want to upload a separate Smugmug gallery for prints and I wanted to love the actual PASS gallery interface. The PASS team delivered!!
