An Annapolis, MD Engagement Shoot

  • Matt + Libby | Engaged

anyone noticed just how many “MATT’s” have been on the blog recently?! It’s a popular name this year for KJ Couples!! Matt and Libby met us in Annapolis for their engagement shoot last Friday. They came prepared! They had a bunch of family members alongside of them to be on doggie duty and help set up their super cute styled picnic! Talk about an awesome family!! I loved getting to know these two as we walked around the park. This wasn’t just any park… this is where Matt and Libby had shared countless dates. Picnics, frisbee, dog walks… this was one of their “spots”.

An Ashburn, VA Wedding

  • Matt + Samantha

We met them for the first time in Laguna Beach, CA for their engagement session. We quickly fell in love with these two. Their story, their smiles, their joy…. we loved it all. After seven years together, Matt and Samantha became husband and wife on Saturday!! As we started shooting their day, I walked into the hotel suite, hugged Sam and then asked her how she was feeling. Her immediate response was “I’m just ready to see him”. This is understandable… especially for these two. Every moment counts. They don’t have much time together in this season of life because of Matt’s training and Sam finishing law school. Talk about a BUSY schedule!! They have a lot going on right now and so the moments that they do get to share together are so precious. Their first look was enough to draw tears. The way Matt embraced Sam after seeing her for the first time was so powerful.

  • Ask Anything

anyone ready for tax season to be OVER?! This girl is!!! Whew. Everyone dreads this time of the year and all of the small business owners are PRAYING that their estimated taxes and write-off’s will be enough to cover their return. Well, while I can’t promise to save you a TON of money on your taxes, I CAN share with you how we have saved ourselves some tax-prep time by making simple changes in our business. Taxes don’t have to be so scary and overwhelming! For years I just barely understood what the tax process was even though I’m DEFINITELY not a pro now,
