The Morning Room Makeover

  • The New House

said “Making a house a “home” is going to take some time KK”…. and she was right. As much as I wished our home could be furnished immediately, it’s taking some time to piece it together. However, with the newly decorated morning room, I’m feeling like everything downstairs is a little more “complete”!! Up until a few weeks ago, the morning room wasn’t very user friendly. We had a 5×7 Pottery Barn rug and an old settee from our first house that wouldn’t fit in any other room. It was awkward and uncomfortable and NO ONE sat on it.

A Carytown Engagement Shoot

  • Travis + Shannon | Engaged

know if you’ve noticed or not… but my blog posts have been going up a little earlier than usual this week! It’s a new habit I’m trying to form! (wish me luck!) Sometimes it can be hard to find motivation to get my posts up early… especially since I have been blogging every weekday for over 5 YEARS! Crazy right?! Well, it wasn’t hard to get motivated for this one because I absolutely adore these two. Travis and Shannon are just the cutest and I am SO thankful we were able to spend some time together on Monday for their engagement shoot before the arctic decided to come visit the east coast!

Giveaway!!

  • CLIC Conference

almost one full month into 2014… annnd I still have things on my “New Year To-do list”! For example, I need to reorganize my hardrives… it just needs to be done. I need to clean off my desktop…. I need a new sample album. All of these little things are adding up and you know what?! This is supposed to be the SLOW season, right? Well, I’m slowly realizing that it will never truly slow down unless I shut my business down completely for a month…which may be a great idea next December! :) So I’m learning that if I want a “slow season”, I have to consciously make it slower.
