Allowing pressure to push you foward

  • The Pressure is On

we all feel it to some degree. With the exception of babies, every human being experiences PRESSURE to some degree. Pressure to perform, pressure to get things done, pressure to be who other people are expecting you to be…. the list could continue for miles and miles. “Pressure” is a weird feeling to explain because it’s not exactly the same feeling as “stress”. Pressure can be a very positive thing sometimes but when I think of “Pressure”… I think of time, deadlines, expectations, and falling behind. As a small business owner, I feel pressure constantly.

February 2014 | Behind the Scenes

  • The Workshop Experience

it’s official, hosting workshops in our home is one of my all time favorite things. It’s A LOT of work but it’s absolutely wonderful. Michael and I just hosted our 3rd workshop in the house and it was a BLAST! I couldn’t have loved this group more!! We had 6 STATES represented this round! Texas, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Virginia, Maryland and Indiana!! Crazy! We welcomed these new friends into our home on a rainy Monday morning and an hour later, they felt like old friends. By day two we were sitting on the floor of the living room going over websites together and cracking up like we were BFF’s at a sleepover.

A Winter Wedding Shoot | Richmond, VA

  • Bryan + Shirley

week I had been driving past the remnants of snow on the streets and sidewalks. I just love how beautiful the snow makes the city. It covers the dirt and turns normal side streets into dream photo destinations. I was so excited that Bryan and Shirley’s shoot was this past Friday because the snow stuck around just long enough to be the perfect background for their images! Bryan had emailed me MANY months ago to setup a time for this shoot. He wanted to do this for his new wife and he wanted it to be perfect! …. And it was. :)
