A Tuckahoe Plantation Engagement

  • Joe + Perrin | Engaged

are some people that I meet and I immediately think to myself “Aw I can’t wait for Michael to meet them!”. Michael and I love people… that seems like such a silly statement but we do. We love people and we love getting to know awesome couples. Joe and Perrin are one of those awesome couples. I knew they were going to be super sweet because one of Perrin’s best friends (and one of my past brides) texted me before their engagement session just to let me know how awesome they are and that she was excited for me to meet them. :) So Joe and Perrin, 1. You can rest assured that you are loved dearly

A Taproot Farm Wedding | Capon Bridge, WV

  • Ian + Jennifer

She emailed me and said that she was getting married on her parent’s farm in West Virginia and I was so excited! I love weddings that take place at home! Our wedding reception was held in my parent’s backyard and I couldn’t have imagine it anywhere else. As Michael and I pulled up to the quaint yellow house overlooking the field where the reception would take place, it reminded me so much of our wedding day. Friends and family were running around prepping last minute details and as I talked to Jenny’s mom, she told that it took an army of friends to pull this wedding off. As hard as DIY weddings are, there is something so wonderful about getting married in a place that means so much to you. I loved seeing to-do lists around the house and I watching friends, cousins and other family members pitch in throughout the day. Their labor of love truly paid off because Ian and Jenny’s day couldn’t have been more beautiful.

Classic Richmond Engagement | Monument Avenue

  • Ryan + Alina | Engaged

I’m introducing you to Ryan and Alina!! These two are going to be married in 2014 and I’m so excited to be a part of this season of their life! When I showed up at their new apartment in downtown Richmond, we talked and got to know one another and it wasn’t long until the topic of Bokeh came up…. which always makes me happy. :) Michael and I are proud puppy parents and we love that other people find him just as cute as we do! Ryan and Alina were about to bring home their first puppy and I remember how exciting that was for Michael and I!
