A Lexington Virginia Engagement

  • Chris + Sarah | Engaged

was a summer intern for our church’s youth group our second summer here in Richmond. We saw each other at youth group and other church events and I just loved Sarah. She has the sweetest personality and is so easy to talk to. We started meeting up for coffee every now and then and the more I got to know her, the more I loved her heart. She’s so passionate about her friends and her faith and I have loved seeing her grow over the past few years! One of my favorite sarah-dates was when we went to Jason’s Deli and she told me about Chris.

Second Guessing

  • Ask Anything

We were about to start shooting a wedding at a cathedral. It was one of our amazing 2012 couple’s wedding day and everything was going so SO well! Getting ready, first look, portraits, everything had been perfect! We arrive at the beautiful cathedral where the ceremony would be taking place and I notice that there are BRIGHT spotlights on the altar. So bright that you can feel the heat from them when you’re standing under them!! Me being nosy and not wanting to bother anyone, I started looking for the dimmer switch. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found and so I passed the priest in the hallway and mentioned my concern.

A Downtown Richmond Senior Shoot

  • Meet Hadley

is one characteristic that I wish every high schooler had, it would be motivation and the ability to dream BIG…. ok those are two things. I think it’s sad when I meet students that are completely satisfied with the status quo and have no real ambitions for the future. Hadley could not be further from that type of high school student. Since I met her, I have known that she was driven and that she had leadership qualities! However, I met Hadley when she was first starting high school and so I’ve seen her actually watched her grow and realize just how much of a leader she is and what she is capable of over the last 3 years.
