  • Ross + Brittany

I met with Brittany and her mom in Starbucks only a little over a month ago. I was still in shock that Christmas was right around the corner! …. They were in shock that the WEDDING was right around the corner!  It amazes me to hear brides talk about planning their wedding in large cities. Brittany was planning hers in one of the largest of them all, NYC! While this seems intimidating for most people, it was normal life for Brittany. She has lived in New York City for quite some time and so has Ross. The traffic and busy streets are just the norm to them and so naturally, having their wedding in the city was very fitting. This city is where they call home and it was the perfect place to begin their new life together!!

  • 2012 Money Pics

Some have asked what exactly determines a “Money Pic”? Perfect light? perfect composition? Amazing exposure all together? Maybe. I’m not really sure to be honest. There are just some images that give me a feeling. That feeling could be caused by numerous things. Maybe the composition is perfect…. maybe the light is amazing… maybe it’s a money shot because it has emotional value… maybe it’s because I took nothing and made it turn into something amazing….It could be that “Money Pics” are selected because the represent me trying something new… maybe I pushed the limits a bit…….

  • Joe + Blythe

The winter months are unpredictable. In January in DC, there could be snow, it could be 20 degrees or it could be 50 degrees and perfect. We enjoyed the second option on Saturday. The sun was out we had beautiful light for Joe and Blythe’s wedding day! It’s amazing how many winter days are grey and dreary. I’ve been so blessed recently to have been shooting on the BEST days of winter thus far!!! Both of my wedding this weekend were filled with gorgeous afternoon light that was just soft enough to get a beautiful glow! Joe and Blythe have had a crazy year of planning. They have been engaged for quite some time but had to wait to see  what Joe’s plan were with his work.
