  • Coaching

Hard to believe that I’ve almost been offering coaching session for a full year!! Wow time flies! I remember thinking about this and wondering if anyone would be interested and I’m continually shocked that photographers from ALL OVER sign up to be a part of this. Coaching sessions are awesome because we get to talk about the photographer’s specific struggles and where they are in their businesses. I’ve had some photographers that have been in business for 17 years and some that haven’t even opened their doors yet!

Watermarking Woes & Why I Share Freely

  • Ask Anything

asked me this same question over and over again in my workshops and my coaching sessions and even in emails. Photographers AND brides want to know, do I give my clients high res files of their images. They also want to know why I don’t place a watermark ON my images on facebook or on the blog. Well, this can be answered in so many ways. First, let me explain something about the industry. It used to be that when you hired a photographer, you paid a sitting fee and then you paid a small fortune in prints. Photography was a product based business and handing over digital files was unheard of.

A Thank You to my Best Friend

  • Our 11th Valentines Day

This is our 11th Valentine’s day together. I’ll be honest, I don’t remember EVERY Valentines we’ve shared… but I remember a few. There was that year that I was a junior in high school and Michael was in college. I was having a tough time and he knew that. I missed him and high school just wasn’t the same without him. I remember walking through the halls that day and seeing everyone with flowers and bears and chocolate. Girls were talking to their boyfriends as classes would change and I just wanted the day to be over. I never understood how annoying Valentines day could be until my “Valentine” wasn’t around anymore.
