I knew It!

  • Snow Storm Saturn

I knew we would have one more snow!! The snow critics kept saying “No way, it’s totally missing us” but deep down I had some hope! Yesterday morning we woke up to several inches and the snow just continued throughout the day! It was beautiful! I could work and watch snow falling EVERYDAY! The crazy thing that I’m realizing this year is that all of these big storms now have NAMES?! What? Snow storm “Saturn”. First of all, who decided to start naming snowstorms and WHY would they pick “Saturn” after we just had a “Sandy”?! Give us a little variety here!

beautiful day in RVA!!! Bokeh woke up at 5:30am because it was thundering and he thought for sure we had an intruder and boy did he let us know it!! At 5:30 it was sleeting and NASTY outside… at 8am, it was a TOTALLY different story! We have SNOW!!!! AHH!!! I’m not going to ramble on and on because I’m sure I’ll be posting some snow pics sometime! It’s supposed to keep snowing through 11pm tonight! So today we’re announcing new coaching session dates! A Masquerade Themed Wedding | The Renaissance

  • James + Aimee

Two months ago I met with Aimee and her mom in Starbucks. It was a casual meeting and we chatted about the big day. It was coming SOON!! VERY soon! I’ve had a few winter weddings that booked a little later than usual this year and to be honest, it was a lovely surprise. In the midst of my “downtime”, I had the chance to shoot again! We haven’t shot a wedding since January and so we were really excited about James and Aimee’s Masquerade themed wedding! I mean, how can you not be excited about a theme like that!? Her dress, her hair, her makeup… she was just stunning!! James and Aimee dated for 12 years prior to their wedding… yes, 12. I love this about them because I can relate. Michael and I dated for 8 years before we were married and I’ll never forget going out to brunch the day after our wedding and thinking “Wow, I get to call him my HUSBAND!”…. Finally!!!
