September 2012 | Brittany

  • Coaching

I had the honor of meeting with Brittany of Brittany Claud Photography! We sat in my office and talked about everything from print labs to Bokeh. Last week I was super busy and so Michael took Bokeh to his grandparent’s house for a few days. I totally forgot that some of my coaching photographers… actually, ALL of them have wanted to meet Bokeh! Poor Britt, she missed out on the spastic ball of apricot colored fluff that we call our dog. He’s just been crazy recently!! whew! Two shoes have hit the trash can because of him recently!! Yikes!

OCF Placement

  • Ask Anything

ago  blogged about my new found love for the Canon 600 Ex-Rt’s. This is a new flash system that Canon announced in the early 2012 and the flashes have transmitters BUILT IN. So I don’t deal with Pocket Wizards or Radio Poppers or ANYTHING! I just set up my OFC, put my on-camera flash in the shoe mount and sync them with one click! Amazing? YES. I love them! I shoot with my On-camera flash set on Manual and my OCF on ETTL. The only disadvantage of these flashes is that if you’re shooting with a Mark II, you can’t set one flash to Manual and one to ETTL. I know that’s a bummer and it’s keeping a lot of people from investing in them.

Bridesmaid Style

  • Wedding Wednesday

been at this for 4 years now (officially 4 years in August, CRAZY!)… I have actually been able to see TRENDS happening! Actually, I feel like the WHOLE industry has changed DRAMATICALLY in the last 5 years… am I the only one that feels that way? When I first began shooting, there were trends and DIY weddings but it was NOTHING like today’s wedding scene! Brides are totally doing their own thing and that’s especially obvious when it comes to how they style their bridesmaid’s attire! I remember being a bride and walking into one store and thinking “Welp I guess I have to find something here”.
