  • Meet Hannah

Michael and I met the youth at our church for the first time, it was a little overwhelming. SO many teenagers and so many names to remember.  I tend to be pretty bad with names but I will remember RANDOM things about everyone that I meet. When it came to Hannah, I remembered her hair.  We had a conversation the first time we met about how she straightened her hair and that just stuck with me for some reason! The second time I saw her… I immediately thought “Oh, she’s the one that straightened her hair” and I immediately remembered our whole conversation. So Hannah started out as the “girl with straight hair”

A Washington Golf & Country Club Wedding

  • Dave + Sara

Sara’s cousin was getting married and so naturally, Sara was a part of the big day. Little did she know that this wedding celebration would be the weekend that she met her future husband! Yep!  Sara met Dave at her cousin’s wedding but here’s the best part….Dave’s brother is Sara’s cousin’s husband!  Crazy right?! They told me this story during their engagement session but in the midst of wedding day craziness, I didn’t put two and two together and until I noticed that Sara’s cousin and Dave’s brother were staying in both sides of the family formals! I was so confused until that story came back to me! Isn’t that fun?! I love hearing stories like that.  It’s just so awesome how God designs relationships

  • Matt and Callie | Engaged

greatest things about this industry is the relationships that I have been able to form over the last several years. Through workshops, conferences and meetups, I have been able to form friendships with some amazing people who have incredible stories. One of these people would be Callie. Callie took a risk and attended my first ever larger scale workshop back in 2010. The SUGAR SHOOT took place in Richmond and we shot in a candy store! It was definitely different from my workshops now and I’m so thankful for the ladies that came out! Callie was one of those ladies!! When I received her email I was thrilled!
