Hello and welcome to The Blog! I’m Katelyn James and I’m a Virginia + Destination Wedding Photographer based in Richmond, VA. a good guest post!! Why? Because it’s REFRESHING to hear from someone other than ME sometimes!! I love blogging but when you’re away for a week and you know that one of your favorite vendors has some GREAT information to share with your readers, you jump at the chance for a guest post!! Amanda and I have been friends for a couple of years now and I’m seriously SO grateful for this girl!! Her talent is unreal and her passion for her business inspiring! She specializes in wedding and floral design and owns Anthomanic, located up in Stafford, VA.
feel like my senior posts all sounds the same to some degree…. “I can’t believe she’s a SENIOR!!!… I feel OLD!”. It’s true….. Savannah was so so young when we first met her and now she’s graduating and heading off to CNU!!! YAY!! We are so proud and we’re not even her parents! She’s such a great fit for our alma mater and we couldn’t be happier for her! Actually, we may be a BIT jealous!! That school is just insane. It’s gorgeous and the campus is stunning. The leadership is top notch and we absolutely LOVE CNU!!!
going to think I’m so strange but I actually find joy in creating new systems for organizing our life. Some of you think we’re uber organized and we’re not… you just see the parts of our lives that are “put together”. I haven’t completely mastered this area of organization yet but I’m getting closer to really having a system that works. I obviously love photography… which means that I love having pictures of my family and our life.
time last year, we had just become a husband/wife team…. officially. We were about to start packing up our cute little house because the new house was almost done. We were learning how to “work together” and finding it to be a little difficult at times. We were worried about income and a down payment and health insurance. This time last year we were in a MASSIVE transition period in both our business and personal lives. It’s funny when you look back at certain seasons of your life and you realize just how CRAZY you were.
is a post that really has absolutely nothing to do with photography…. but I’ve been thinking about this for A WHILE. Really every since I got married!! The more I learn and experience in my “adult” life the more I realize just how STRONGLY I feel about this subject!! Since getting marred and starting a business and living in the “real world”… I have realized that there was actually VERY LITTLE that I learned in High School and even college about the BASIC life realities. Now don’t get me wrong, I was SO BLESSED growing up with
